Pulled mine down to 5kW yesterday - when the first DCFC I got to was out of service, I did have a moment of 'concern' but a couple miles away was another operational station.
You paid for that battery, may as well use it !

Is your Flash with a 123kw battery?
Was your average MPK ~1.7mi/kwh ?

And you Lived to tell the story !
I noticed my truck cut out the front motor at some point as I decended to 5% SOC but didn't cut my travel speed - I was running 110 km/h (70mph) but had to slow down anyway as I got into the small town with the chargers, not sure what you would see at 1% SOC - did it cut your available speed? at what SOC?
Towing over mountains - yikes!

It doesn’t cut speed, it reduces available power. The maximum speed will be determined by how much power is required to reach it.

I've drug it down to 1% battery, then 0% battery on the way home from trips. It's become a little bit of a game and is a great way to learn the range and how driving habits impact it. As you can probably guess I haven't run out of range..... yet. Chances are high I'll "Kramer it" soon.....

Absolutely. Last summer, I pushed it a little too far…. There was a very short uphill just a few hundred yards before the charging station. I elected to pull over and turned the truck off because I had almost no power. Let it sit for about two minutes and then booted ‘er up and made it up that hill no problem. But really don’t ever want to go much below 5% again. It was just not fun. Got a few more grey hairs as a result. 🤣

This is the farthest I've pushed the range on the 2025 Flash. Honestly quite surprised with the accuracy of the mileage. It seems as the time passes by the car is more accurate with how many miles are left.
Yes, that's how it is designed, it uses your HISTORY to predict.

But....

- when history doesn't repeat itself, don't get surprised. History at 70 degrees can't accurately predict future at 20 degrees. Yes, it will adjust, but it has to learn.

- when future differs from history, then all bets are off. History of 500 miles of local in-town driving won't predict upcoming 70mph trip on highway. Putting destination in navigation (or using Google Maps or similar), gets more accuracy for that.

- And lastly, remember that it's not all-knowing. Did a 20mph headwind just come up, and you are driving 75? Slow down, because you're doing 95mph effectively.

- Remember the displayed efficiencies under Trip 1 and Trip 2 are historic, and this trip is an AVERAGE that you're doing now. If you get 1.9 and now start climbing mountains, the average will drop to 1.8, then 1.7... But, you're actually getting 1.2 and just can't see it anywhere except the falling average. Get an OBD reader and Car Scanner for visible to instant average if you do a lot of driving.

I got to 1% towing a car across the Rockies….
Kids nowadays, always afraid to push the limit.
Back in my day, Kramer was my inspiration. Come back when you run out at the charger.

This was 0% remaining, 2 miles left, but power limited enough that I didn't have enough power to overcome the slight incline to the charger...

HA! Oh I did.

I've only ever run out of charge once in 19 years driving EVs (the time I had a cell fail in my custom-converted bubble car doesn't count).

I was driving from Portland to Mount Hood in a snow storm in my wife's 2013 LEAF, with two excited kiddos in the back. We got diverted around an accident on state route 26 west of Portland (near the zoo) and ended up burning more power than I hoped. I ran out of charge a half mile from the roundhouse charging station on my way to mount hood, but coasted down hill, into the parking lot and straight into the charging bay. Never rolled nat 20s like that in my life since...
