Actually, now that I think about it, the 90 couldn 't be integrated, but you could swap the 180-degree coupler from Uncle Tony in with no issues. I'll ask him to send me one so I can make a video.

I need more sleep. Uncle Tony's is Female to Female, and all the parts on the new dock are female to male. Even if it fit, the gender would be wrong.

the dock is just for convenience. Taking it in and out without having to disconnect cables. The only aftermarket item you really need is the Lightning specific coupler with built in resistors.

I got my Comma 4 last night @Ajzride was a huge help and great resource. It's amazing I'm super happy with it as a first time Comma user.

I have a 2023 Lightning, and I have been going through all of these threads. So does the Comma 4 work now with the Lightning, and is the only thing that you need to purchase the coupler and, of course, the unit itself? When ordering online, it states that it only comes with a 2ft OBD-C cable, but others say it comes with a longer cable. Is there a write-up somewhere or links to everything that needs to be purchased?

I hate to be so wishy washy and back and forth, but I'm still getting caught up on sleep. I had an idea this morning of another way I can get the lighthing coupler to work integrated into the dock. I will test it tonight and let you guys know. We have 8 of the 90s that could be integrated into the dock I think.

The comma comes with a 2ft cable, but if you order the F150 kit, then the Q4 harness comes with the long cable.

You have the option to order the Q4 harness when purchasing on the comma site. You just select Ford F150 from the drop down.

I mean, they're always going to try, but ultimately the onus is on them to prove it caused the issue. Before going in for warranty service I'd remove it anyway just to be sure it wasn't causing an issue anyway.

There has been one guy who had a hard time with his dealer, so he just pulled the entire system out, let them do the warranty, then he reinstalled.

My advice is if you are going in for any kind of module updates or things that include programming, remove the harness. If you are going in for mechanical work, it's fine to just unplug the comma at the USB port.

Okay guys, i was able to make a modified version of the C4 dock that uses the 90-degree lightning coupler we devloped for the C3X dock. It is 8mm longer in a few spots, but you will never notice. We only have 9 of these 90s left, so it will be first come first serve on the docks with intergrated couplers. It doesn't make financial sense for us to order more 90 degree couplers, so once the 9 we have are sold out, you will just need to use a 180 degree coupler, which we have plenty of in stock.

I just dropped my truck off after having some random ABS shutter when trying to stop from a slow speed (think approaching the stop sign in your neighborhood) that eventually threw "Service Brake System" ABS Fault etc errors.

Removed the Q4 harness and took the comma off of the sliding mount, they updated modules under warranty related to a TSB of sorts but then the service advisor tried mentioning the "accessories on by the mirror" could be causing the issues....the only thing plugged in right now is a Garmin dash cam.

Sounds like your service advisor is grasping at straws to see if you admit to anything that they can use against you.

Nope. Silence is golden. They have to prove that your accessory caused the issue.

Oh I had a feeling it was coming, but the fact they're trying to find a reason to blame it on something other than a janky module is interesting.

I enjoy seeing what explanation they can use not realizing I troubleshoot for a living.

Should have them explain to me how a 12v jumper harness from the rear view connected to a USB cord for the dashcams can cause brake system failures lol.
