There is a toggle in the center screen for the horn honk and the seatbelt chime defeat procedure is detailed in the manual. I did both.
Folks should be aware that the seatbelt chime disable only stops the persistent, ongoing chiming. AFAIK, the seatbelt chime on startup can’t be disabled.

Ford F-150 Lightning Disable seatbelt chime? 1701893330394

I tried this with no luck today. I could not get the seatbelt light to switch back on to indicate step 3 was complete. Is there some trick to this? "Moderate" is such a subjective term I'm wondering if I was going to fast, but I tried doing it slower and slower, but got frustrated and quit.

Were you sitting in the seat while performing the procedure?

I was in the opposite seat. Kinda facepalming that I didn't consider that might be part of the equation.

I went the same route you did, then I tried sitting in the seat in question, right passenger and right rear passenger, it was a bit tricky reaching forward to actuate the start button while planted in the rear, but I got these seats configured to the off mode.

Hmm... I 'hear' you there. It is a bit annoying. Although when hauling Grandma around and she unbuckles in the back seat on the highway because she wants to adjust it, I would rather know.

However, while we may be able to make that choice, I think the dealer should be on a 'we won't do that for you' stance because it is a safety measure. Turning it off for you could make them liable for anything nasty that might come out of having done it and the owner turning off their brain.

The hood thing though, that would be a nice one to turn off.

Seatbelt chime disabling has to be done for each position. I only disabled the driver’s position.

I'm trying to do this right now and having no luck. I push the button to turn the accessory mode on without starting it but the seat belt light never goes out so that I can continue with the process.

I was sitting in the seat and I'm 224 lbs. Should have been enough.

The instructions say the seatbelt reminder light on the dash will go off after "approximately 1 minute". Mine never does. I've tried it with the truck in accessory mode (blinking green light on PTS button) and with the truck on (solid green light on the PTS button). The light never goes off. And I assume since the light never goes off, it's not going to recognize the rest of the process of buckling/unbuckling, etc...

What's wrong with using the seat belt? Friend of mine would probably use his had he known he'd be killed on the way home from his bachelor party. If he had been wearing it when the truck he was passenger in hit an embankment after the driver lost control. He'd still be among the living like the driver and other passenger are.

Instead his bride to be (pregnant) is now raising the child alone when he was bent in half as he was pushed thru the gap where the windshield was, sheet metal wiped his face off. Don't know why they had an open casket funeral, no one was able to recognize him. I guess funeral homes can only do so much when the damage is that extensive. (sorry to be so graphic) not sorry if the story saves a life.

Until that day I never used mine either. :censored:

Who said I don't use it on public roads?

A lot of us use our trucks off public roads. I don't want to listen to the DING DING DING DING as soon as I put the truck in gear.

I normally use seat belt extenders that are essentially buckles that plug right in and defeat all the nanny crap on newer trucks, but it seems those are getting harder to find. Maybe the government has cracked down on those?
