Maybe I should be starting a new thread?

My truck installed BCM 24.5.1 four days ago (Your frunk now closes securely with the exterior button, even when your vehicle is locked...). I noticed this changed behavior probably about a year ago so I didn't think much of it when it installed.

However, I have now lost intelligent access functionality. Any one else see this? I'll need to find my cable and fire up the old for scan - after I brush back up on how to use it.

Same - and I don’t have access to my forscan computer or cable for at least another month or two since my stuff is in storage while moving back to WA. :-(

Looks like this problem might eventually affect us all, so indeed let's start a new thread titled:
DIY: Installing Passive Entry To A Lightning - 2025 Firmware Fix

Whoever's is broken currently from the frunk update and can use FORScan to identify their current (the new broken) BCM firmware please start this thread and tag Jesse and I in the initial post.

And post this:
Ford F-150 Lightning DIY: Installing Passive Entry To A 2022 F-150 Lightning XLT 1758315478257-

Likely all that needs to happen is that we need to get new BCM firmware files for an EG 312a and install them into our BCM. Should be that easy.

Just following back up in case anybody similarly lost passive functionality after Ford has been screwing with WAL in EAP. Indeed the first few related registers in the BCM reverted to the 311A as-builts, had to go back in and modify them again. The affected blocks were:

726-18-01
726-24-01
726-27-01
726-28-01

The rest retained their values, but if you're already in there I'd go ahead and check them all.
@boggle can you confirm what update you’re referring to here? You mentioned EAP and WAL but was it the BCM 24.5.1 update?

Seems to be related to 24.5.1 as I received that update on 5/8 and subsequently lost the proximity functionality and touch behavior of my handles. Those few EEPROM registers I noted have fixed it, no issues since.

Thanks for the confirmation.

@ZSC100 I’m hoping that just FORScan changes are required to fix the issue.
Awesome, yea this is good news if just the config needs fixed.

I'd say still someone should create a new thread with the specifics and fix if they can it would greatly appreciated by many.
