Finally got the Eibach lift kit installed yesterday. Did both front and rear and brought up the rear by about 1/2” and the front by about 3”. Loving the ride difference so far and I have about 30K miles on the truck now.

I have a set of brand new Ford Tremor 18” wheels/tires taken off a new truck sitting in the garage for when either winter comes or the factory rubber is no longer good. Might put a Raptor skid plate on too, but I don’t want to change out the bumper.

Love this truck!

Lookin good. Tires look like they need to go. Might as well throw them on now and enjoy the new look even more.

The factory Hankooks are surprisingly not terrible. I’m at 35k and 6/32s all around. Probably too close for comfort come winter time, but overall - not bad.

I will say the lift kit completely changes the way the truck handles plus when I pulled my front shocks at the 10,000 mile mark it would appear that they were leaking already so it was a good swap anyhow

Agree. When I replaced my OEM shocks with Eibachs at 62 - 64k miles, the OEM shocks were one-hand collapsible against the pavement... all four of them.

Ford is known to put cheapo OEM shocks on their vehicles. Most drivers don't really notice.

Nice! I have these going on Monday. Along with 35's. I'm taking off my tremor wheels/tires. keeping them for longer road trips. Im currently running the OEM shocks with 2 inch pucks.

Can you tell us more on the handling difference? I’ve debated this lift, but very much wondering what that feels like for everyday driving around. And does loading the bed up cause the nose to lift high?

I got the Eiback front and rear struts and rear only springs installed two weeks ago. I didn’t want to change the rake since I load a truck camper often which drops the rear a little already.

I also had the new sway bar installed at same time. Overall night and day difference. Feels way more controlled.

What I can tell you is that it feels more stable on the road from lateral movements and over bumps. It definitely feels more truck-like, if that makes sense.

When I had the stock suspension, going over a bump made the front end feel like it was floating up and down, kind of like an airbag sensation if you’ve ever ridden in a car with airbags but no springs. Now, when I go over bumps, it feels much smoother and more controlled. For the low price of 300 bucks for the pair of front shocks and a three-hour install, it was definitely worth it.

there are many ways to do it, but I just installed the two front shocks only and let the stock springs since they were adjustable. I'm running the 2.6” (I think, whatever the highest setting is) and I love the look and performance.

Hauling stuff, it is what it is in terms of squatting in the back. Looks darn near level at all other times.

Rides more like a truck now, doesn’t have that feeling that I’m in an early 2000’s Lincoln Town Car floating on air shocks. It’s snappier and feels a little more responsive.

Got the kit installed yesterday. Front/rear shocks and springs. I also had the shop install Icon upper control arms. Tires are 295/65R20 Toyo Open Country AT3. Due to the 18mm off set of the wheels the shop had to cut the front crash bars and trim my skid plate. Ride is firmer than stock but I like the planted feel.

To each his own I suppose. But the term "riding like a truck" doesn't seem like a positive thing.

this is a fair statement in some cases. It is a stiffer ride, yes. So bumps in roads are more harsh. However so is control. I load a truck camper and that boat feel really gave me grief. I didn’t feel like it was controlled at all. Seemed unsafe before. Also curves are super controlled now for me but that may be the new sway bar that was installed at same time.

Every need is different so you do you.

I’ve always thought the Lightning rode a little soft, especially in the front end and at higher speeds. The lift kit with the new shocks and springs certainly tightened all of that up. The handling is a lot more responsive. I might feel a little bit more of the bumps on the road, but maybe I’m being hyper sensitive since it just got installed. Either way, the truck looks better with the taller stance and so got rid of the factory rake. I’m happy.
