Might be a change starting with 24. I’ll take a look and update post 1.
That sure is changing a lot of values. Did you look at the spreadsheet to confirm?
I posted this a while back. here It is the extreme answer to seat belts as it makes the truck think there are no seats installed at all.

Just quieting the chimes according to this thread does work, I did that first but didn't like the extra stuff so I wiped them.

Thanks for refreshing our memory. It sounds like what @hajalie24 found on Redditt is the same thing you posted in post 239.

In looking at my database of Lightnings, the 22-23's already have all 0's for these 4 parameters. The 24's have a smattering of non-zero values. So it looks like Ford changed the way seats and seat belts worked beginning in 2024.

All 4 parameters relate specifically to whether there are certain seats and seat belt sensors in the vehicle and whether they should have the Belt Reminder option. Making them all zero is certainly the extreme option!

It would take some work, but I would have instead started with just disabling the chimes and Belt Reminder values but leaving in the seats. The reason I say that is by telling the truck you don't have a rear seat (like would be in a standard cab F-150), I wonder if that also disables side airbags or other functions for the rear. You said seat heaters still work (rear also?) and maybe there aren't side curtain airbags for the rear seat. Since this is just for the IPC, it may be just cluster warnings, and there may be other places like BCM/PCM that get airbag info. I'm just spit-balling here - I'm not that knowledgeable of how that all works.

Did the Owner's manual procedure not work well enough to disable the warnings for you?

I have a 24 Flash so I don't have rear seat heaters unfortunately.

As mentioned in the previous post, I did originally disable all chimes via Forscan then try the owners manual procedure with no results. The Forscan tweaks worked well for the chimes but I did not like the seat belt graphic that still popped up and covered most of the info screen. With this mod when any or all seat belts are undone there is nothing, no dings, not graphics, nada.

I would hope and assume the Airbag/Restraint Control Module would still be watching the restraint sensors and still deploy the airbags in case of an impact. Your question/point is valid though that without specific knowledge or testing we don't know for sure.

I made a few of the minor changes that everyone
seems to like and all seemed to be working well.
I have had a few OTA updates since.
Recently, my Lightning will only charge to 77%,
then charge speed drops to almost nothing with
little to nothing being added. After a while of no
progress, it says charge complete and dashboard
shows 100%. I unplug and it drops back to 77%.
It is a 2022 Lariat approaching 3 years with 21K
miles. Never had any real issues. No warning
lights. LEVEL II or DCFC, no difference.
Could I have done something to cause this or,
could a model or modules go bad without codes?
It has the extended range battery and drivability
seems consistent. I have disconnected the 12 V
battery for a while with no difference once
reconnected. I did save existing settings each
time I made a change so can go back. Was
wondering if anyone had suggestions before I do.
Thanks
Ed

Sadly you need to be calling your dealer. Nothing with Forscan, but there have reported similar behavior.

While you are in Forscan, did you check for DTC's?

No - they actually update the mothership and your As Built data at Ford should match the truck after a bit of time - a week or so. Sounds like you've got a much bigger problem with the electrical system and nothing you've done with Forscan would affect that. At most you're activated headlights, changed the behavior of chimes or cameras. None of that would affect what you are experiencing. Just never mention Forscan to the dealer. Some don't even understand it and would look for anything to throw you into inexperienced mechanic never never land.

Should I uninstall the Forscan updates first ?
I didn't re-read all of this thread but see if this is similar to our problem. If not, you might consider a new thread so we don't have this diagnosis in the middle of the Forscan thread.

I seem to have lost the welcome/boot animation on my sync screen

2022 Lariat SR

I’m 99% sure it stopped happening after the mobile ford tech came out and updated my IPMA, BECM and BCM - ruining my 12v battery in the process.
I assumed it was due to the low 12v as a way to reduce draw on the battery but after putting in a fresh 12v and resetting the BMS it has not returned.
I have made all of the typical updates with Forscan
But all of them were done prior to the tech updating my truck and I don’t recall the animation missing before that.

Is there an as-built or config I should check in Forscan?

Thanks

You might search for splash screen. There are a few posts where folks have tried to both enable and change/disable. Not sure they have succeeded though.

@3121 Look here. Right now, Ford shows you have a 1F there which is correct for a BEV. See if FORScan shows otherwise.

Does your system boot faster with that not showing? As bmwwhitex states, some of us have been trying to get that to be disabled (to validate).

Watching for your response/reply to rugedraw to see what you show on that line.

EDIT: Oh, we were messing with: (IPC quickboot) IPC 720-07-01 xxxx xxxx 4xxx line during trials.

I just verified the correct setting is there in the APIM - 1F
You can see the lightning animation works after I hit the ON button - it just does not do the sweeping Ford logo when the door is opened. It does do the sweeping logo when I turn the truck OFF.

Just for kicks I did a gateway module and Body module reboot but that didn't fix it.

If you enabled and turned on Silent mode you killed that animation. You should have a toggle on screen now. Turn silent mode off and see what you get

There are the changes for Silent mode:
Enable Silent Mode (AKA campground / dark mode)
Creates a SYNC toggle to turn on/off Silent Mode. Silent Mode turns off cluster lighting, welcome lighting, courtesy lights, and SYNC screen when opening doors; also silences the horn when locking doors. See this post for more info, pics, and how to enable using easy mode.
BCM 726-25-02 0101 0101 01--
BCM 726-28-02 01xx xxxx xx--
APIM 7D0-09-02 *xxx xxxx xx-- if C, change to D. If E, change to F.
