Because it is a FORScan mod only, I added the following to post 1 today:

Enable Charging Speed on Instrument Panel Cluster (2022-2023 only. Standard on 2024+).
Displays the charging rate (Amps and kW) in the upper left of the IPC. This requires a more advanced process that requires the paid version of FORScan (which you should buy regardless) and its beta version that allows you to side-load new firmware for the IPC module. See this thread for all the details - start with post 5 and continue to the end.

Two thoughts: 1) Did you also enable Lincoln Folding mirrors with Forscan? If so, then a known issue is that puddle lamps don't work with that feature on Fords. 2) Contact @21st Century Truck - I know he upgraded the mirrors on his XLT and has done a lot of extra wiring to enable features.

I don't believe I did. Would that be the following?
DDM 740-03-16 xxxx-xxxx-**-- 00=Ford, 01=Lincoln, 02=manual, 03=powerfold
PDM 741-03-16 xxxx-xxxx-**-- 00=Ford, 01=Lincoln, 02=manual, 03=powerfold

I need to look and see what my current setting is, but would I need to change it to Ford (00) or manual (02)?

EDIT: typo. I had PDM 741-03-06 but I meant to say PDM 741-03-16. Corrected.

I suggest You choose the "Ford" option for both modules.

I didn't read far enough back to see if these new mirrors you got are power fold or manual fold. Your original Pro would have come with manual fold so setting would be 02 originally. But since you have retrofitted them, it depends if you now have power fold. If power, then 00. No Lightning has 03 - that must be for ICE?

I use 01 because I like the that the mirrors stay folded when I unlock my truck. Helps when in tight parking spots. They only unfold after you get in and close the driver door. I never found any use for the puddle lamps with limited night driving so don't miss them.

Now that it has been verified to work, I've added to post 1. Thanks to Jesse and all the folks who tested it.

Enable Pro Power Onboard with truck off (2022-2023 only. Standard on 2024+).
Creates a Sync toggle in the Pro Power settings screen. See this post.
7D0-10-03 xxxx xx2x xx--
7D0-10-04 xxx* xxxx xx--
If 0, change to 8. If 4, change to C. If 6, change to E
If you enabled the Advanced Charging Screen, you likely have a 6.
Requires truck to have 2025 PCM update and likely Sync version 25094.
Can I PM you my VIN to check if I have the latest PCM update? I have a 2023 Lariat Standard Range.

I just did these changes in Forscan. The "Keep Outlets On When Vehicle is Off" toggle is added to Sync, but it automatically toggles itself off. Tested the frunk outlets with a blow dryer that turns off once I turn off the truck, rather than staying on.

Sure, but also please update your Account Details for future requests. Add 2023 Lariat SR to what you have already have in the Vehicles section :) .

I suggest You choose the "Ford" option for both modules.

@21st Century Truck Tried this over the weekend. Switched both to the "Ford" option. Still does not work. I cleared my DTCs and the only remaining were for both the PDM and DDM:

Code: B1166 - Right Front Puddle Lamp Output
Additional Fault Symptom ( :15):
- Circuit Short To Battery Or Open
Status (-48):
- Previously Set DTC - Not Present at Time of Request
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp is Off for this DTC
- Test not complete
Module: Passengers Door Control Unit

Code: B1165 - Left Front Puddle Lamp Output
Additional Fault Symptom ( :15):
- Circuit Short To Battery Or Open
Status (-48):
- Previously Set DTC - Not Present at Time of Request
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp is Off for this DTC
- Test not complete
Module: Drivers Door Module

Does the AS BUILT option make a difference? I can't recall which one I made the edit to off the top of my head, but there were several options for both the PDM and DDM.

Any other ideas?

I assume that You bought power-folding mirrors off EBay etc. I'd like to see their white paper Ford tags which list the new mirrors' functions.

The DTCs list an open or missing electric circuit.

These white function tags are on each mirror's foam inner (vehicle-facing) surface. Perhaps You can also grab them off the seller's listing images.

I bought a set of cheap manual fold knock-offs from eBay. I used various parts from them to retrofit my existing mirrors, including some of the wiring. Everything I added to my mirrors works fine except for the puddle lamps.

Edit: I have tried two different sets of puddle lamps and neither worked. That’s why I think it is a wiring issue (are pins 12 and 14 correct?) or a programming issue.

The existing harness in my doors had the exact number of wires and in the correct pin locations for everything I added.

Oh I see.

Yeah these big mirror housings are a bit like a LEGO set.

In Your case, my hunch would now focus on a faulty wire connection somewhere.

Good Luck!

Based on what I see, there is a VT-GN wire from the Driver Door Module C501B pin 12 to LH Mirror C521 pin 14. Passenger side is similar except wire is BN-YE. You have those?

And also the ground for each.

Hmmm, I don't have the puddle lamps connected to a ground pin. I'll look into that and report back.

I'm assuming the ground pin doesn't matter? Either C521 pin 20 or 22?

Both wires from the light need to be connected. For ground, my wiring diagram is showing puddle connects to pin 8 but 20 and 22 are also both labeled ground. All three are black wires.

When you said you only saw 2 Volts was the black wire on your voltmeter connected to a proper ground?
