My question... Who thought the WAITING TO CHARGE, and other giant text was a good idea?
I'm an old guy, but I put my iphone16 75 feet away and was still able to read the giant text. why?
Its so big It frequently cant even fit on one line, so it wraps and adds even more wasted space.
The charging screen (middle button on bottom of app) also shows the giant text, with other oversized fonts making the new charge adjuster appear cut off on the screen, again, you have to scroll to see it all. The giant fonts and wasted screen whitespace has made the app unusable to me.

Ford - go download the Tesla app if you want to see how its done correctly.

I'm still evaluating and trying out the new app. I did like and was surprised by the Charge History. It detected charge history on networks I didn't expect and is a accurate record. It has the necessary info for me do write some travel notes from like charge time, kWh, start and stop SoC. That works well from what I can see.

I feel like the lock button on the app is my most used to double check I've locked the truck. The button press behavior is slightly different. Single press instead of long press.


App feels more speedy and responsive. I'm sure it could always be better. So I'm glad others are chiming in with other improvement asks. I'm content.

As someone who has had issues with the "Charge scheduled to start" feature displaying correctly in the app, I don't like the removal of that feature. My charging is scheduled to kick off at 11pm during the week. There have been times where the start time would show as 7:30pm the next day (exactly 24 hours from when I plugged it in last) instead of 11pm. A few times I just let it go thinking the app would correct itself and kick off at 11, but it didn't and I woke up the next day with just enough battery to get to work. I then took to fiddling with the settings in the app to fix this issue. Now I can't see the start time so I'm waiting for the winter morning where I have to stop on the way to work to charge because I won't have enough battery. If the update fixed this bug, Happy Day. If not....

for me it will start charging when it is set to be not be charging. like at 2am it always starts at that time. my charge time is 11AM - 6PM, set to charge when sun is out and I have excess power. it does not always start when it should start. also will charge beyond the max charge level set in app. I also have no departure time set.

I finally got the update. I agree that this update is terrible. The app was pretty good before this but now it's awful.

The status refresh request succeeded, but took about 45 seconds this morning.

Departure timer worked today, it kicked off 5 minutes prior to leave time, but if I don't leave at that time it'll continue to run 10 more minutes.

Showing this at 0745, programmed departure is 0750 and it says it'll run until 0800,

I extended the run time to 0815.

Sometimes it doesn't load correctly, the charging tab (lightning bolt icon) shows less information than before, the font is too big and requires more scrolling, and I generally see zero benefit from it. Why would they update it and take things away rather than making it better? I guess they're "decontenting" the app to match what they're doing to the truck? Right now my truck is connected to the charger and it's at 90% and I want to charge it to 100%. App has no option for it! It just says "charge complete".

So I drove the truck a little bit brought it back home and plugged it back up and now the app says it's charging but I still see no options whatsoever to set a charge capacity. This is terrible.

Click on the Charging tab at the bottom.
All charging concerns are now located on the charging tab.
