Yup, seems ok and fairly steady if you look at a long graph and take in account the tax credit spike. I was mostly talking about the other EV’s doing well and how it compares to Ford. Also, they have the hummer, but I know those are more rare (I still secretly like the hummer)

Why on earth would you have the heat cranked to 80 degrees? THAT is a huge battery drain and I would have sweat rolling down my face.

Perhaps he is a Great Plains Toad just tryin' to make it hop through the midwestern winter?
Although I'd agree with your temperature assessment, 80 degrees in winter dry Kansas is not nearly the same as 80 in more humid areas.

For years I said "I'd like to drive a Hummer" (I had a 1982 Jeep CJ-7 and like it, but it rusted away on me).

When they brought out the EV, it crossed my mind. But $140,000 is ridiculous, and GM reliability isn't anything to trust. But it's more the lack of efficiency that stops me - it's close to 1 mile per kWh. I spoke to a guy at an EA charger once, admiring his 225kW rate versus the Mach-E we were driving at 110kW, and he bemoaned the cost to drive it anywhere but around his town.

I haven't confirmed this on my Lightning but in other vehicles I have owned and in heat/AC systems in a house, the temperature of the air proudced doesn't change regardless of the temp setting. What your typically changing is the thermostat setting that monitors the recirculated air tempature. Heat/AC in a house works the same way.

Every single vehicle I've owned modulates (even the manual ones the ammount of heat (hot water) that goes into the heater core and thus; the temperature of the air coming out of it.

But he lacks PaaK, pushbutton keypad on the door post., Power Running Boards and massaging seats.

If towing is your objective, GM is your obvious answer but dang it would suck to give up everything you mentioned AND Android Auto/Carplay.

I've been thinking about a Scout for my next truck. I haven't dug deep into what I'd have to give up to switch. I can live without massaging seats and power running boards. PaaK is wonderful and I don't worry about glitches because of the keypad. I don't want to go back to a fob. I'd have to see what the alternative to Android Auto is. It would be extremely annoying to not have podcasts sync between phone and vehicle.

Actually been fairly humid lately with this storm but normally dry. I've been cold to the bone. Reminds me of winters in North Carolina. I get in at 10 degrees (unless I plan ahead and use the app to start warming it) and crank it up to high. Seems like it heats up faster if I run it on Max defrost to begin with. Then cut it back to 80 then to 75 after a while. I try 70 every once in a while. Then it starts letting cold air filter in and I crank it back up to 80 to warm it up. The 2001 F150, Subaru, and Prius with ICE, I can set at 70 or 71 and be comfortable the whole trip anywhere and they maintain warmth. Just haven't figured out these heat pumps.

Manual is where I'm at now. Tried Auto but I don't know where it is blowing air cause nothing is lit up when I press the button for the 3 vent choices. Any other vehicle Auto works fine and also has to have A/C on (for defrost I believe) and the vent controls allows initial heat on feet and blowing in face until I'm warm then I switch to feet and windshield to maintain comfort in the lower and upper halves of the cabin. With Auto the fan never seems to blow and adjusting the fan takes it off Auto and somewhere during the process of moving around the buttons for temp, fan, vents, auto, and their adjustment or split second grab for the dial, the vent settings goes away.

And, as usual, this is all happening while driving down the highway in heavy traffic dodging drunk drivers that are practicing for the Daytona 500 bump drafting and sling shot passing around me while the truck is giving me hands on the wheel and eyes on the road warnings every other half second.

I will try the repeat enable. Another thing is it may be the meds the VA has me on or something with me but when the wife is with me she does just fine on her side starting out on high till she has it quickly down to 75 then maybe 70 and takes her coat off while I'm cold and still have my coat on. Go figure. Any other vehicle we are on the same temp or within a couple degrees.

My other F150 is a 2001. I haven't driven a late model f150 ICE vehicle so I don't know how they compare but I suppose any vehicle with a heater core should be fine.

Ford can't figure out how to make a 12 volt battery last but I remember my 66 ford F100 could keep me hot during a blizzard so they had the heater core technology figured out. Add heat pump to the list of things Ford hasn't figured out.

Ford should hire Ron Popeil to fix this so we can "Set it and forget it!!!"
