Ford Power-Up 3.5.5 DTE IMPROVEMENT

I was waitlisted for the Ford Early Access Program, and got a notification this morning that I've been added.

A few hours later I received Power-Up 3.5.5.
Before I manually initiated the update, it warned me that I would have to leave the truck turned off for up to 25 minutes. The update only took about 15 minutes, but the process was noisy. Several times there was a electrical hum near the front motor followed a buzzing sound (best I can describe it as angry hornets) from near the rear motor. Pretty odd, but truck seems fine after the update.

BTW, received 3.5.3 and 3.5.4 a couple of weeks ago, and I'm still eagerly awaiting the PaaK update.

I wish. That bleeping Frunk drives me nuts. Would love to silence that speaker.

I don't see any obvious changes. Sounds like the distance to empty improvement might help the accuracy of the guess-o-meter maybe?

Same here I was accepted into the beta program this morning as well but have not seen that update as of 1pm est...have to check in the morning for any update goodies.

Seems like they sent all the invites to EAP at the same time…got mine as well. We’ll see if 3.5.5 gets pushed to my truck?

This is good, my guess-o-meter is too conservative.

Thought I was the only one, drove a bunch of places on the way home from a weekend trip on Sunday, and I kept watching the percent dropping and the miles not ticking down... I'm glad it seems to have more range than it says but it is quite annoying how wrong it seems to be. The estimated arrival % seems to be accurate, but miles is all over the place.

I dropped out of EAP, after negative experiences when an APP for my local utility system TOU credit system was causing a lockout my FP account twice and slow intervention to resolve .... I don't trust EAP process to respond IF something goes wrong, good luck folks!!

I also got into EAP yesterday. But I think getting 3.5.5 is unrelated to that (I haven’t gotten 3.5.5). My understanding is that the EAP tasks/goodies/surveys etc. will show up in our Ford account under the Early Access page. This powerup seems finalized already and will go out like previous ones - based on connectivity, 12v battery state, etc. Looking at my Early Access page i am active but there are currently no things assigned at this time.

Oh good timing Ford!

Just in time for the cold weather setting in and causing the GOM to turn into a Stress O Meter (SOM).

The improved Distance to Empty update will be certainly welcome to those that are suffering from cold weather.
