Frunk issue and dealer replaced body panels incorrectly

Dont know where to start. The frunk on our Lariat has had issues opening. which caused body damage. The dealer had our Lightning for over 3 weeks. Finally got it back went to open the front it doesn’t open, and realized they changed the passenger fender with one that doesn’t have the fake access panel with the lariat tag on it as it did originally. But replaced the fender with one that doesn’t have an access panel on it and our lariat a Flash with a flash emblem.

“We’re going to look into it and order the correct part”.

This has been going on since November waiting for parts.

Otherwise we love this vehicle.

So at least two member owners have had this damage from the frunk opening.

Both located in Chilly Chicago - one was kept in a heated garage until left outside while at cabin where it may have gotten cold.

Is ambient temperature the culprit I wonder.

Bring it back and get a loaner while they work on it. Clocks on them. At 30 total days in service, initiate a buyback. They'll offer to cut you a check for appeasement in lieu of the repurchase. You can then pick a path forward.

After enough of these, Ford might actually change something. Until then...

Oddly, my Frunk seem to have trouble closing but only when initiated from the interior cabin button. Otherwise it's fine. Only when closing with the cabin button. : / Sorry about your dealership experience! That's crazy!

Same Saga new twist. The dealer took the vehicle back to put on the correct fender and deal with the frunk issue and now they call back to say they can’t provide the correct fender for my vehicle and I have to live with the way it was repaired. (newer fender that is unlike the original) Thats not going to be a resolution for me. Waiting for a response from higher up at the dealership but not optimistic. Any contacts at Ford that I should reach out to. Again Loved the vehicle, loved to speak highly of it but if i have to keep it this way ill have to sell it, and not speak highly of it anymore. Concerned that there is a lack of body panels available for this vehicle.
