Hey guys we’ve been having some serious heat in North Dallas this month. I have noticed that my truck makes this noise as the heat gauge starts to increase. It’s like a fan is turning on/off every 2-5 seconds. I have it in sport mode to help keep the battery cool, as seen in the video. But something’s it’s in Normal mode and still will make the noise. Once I turn off the A/C it typically stops. I have a dealer appointment scheduled this weekend.
I’ve checked the front radiator and it’s clean and I even gently washed it off.
Has anyone else experienced this with their lightning?

It's definitely above midpoint, considering Dallas temp's another Texans opinion would be better than my New England observations.

I know it’s getting warmer. My concern is that it’s not able to cool the battery with the A/C on and that’s what causing the noises I am hearing. It can only hear it inside the truck.

Temperature at that level when it is 111 outside probably isn't an issue of concern if it doesn't continue to rise. I could not hear any sound on your video, so it is hard to comment on that.

Funny you should bring that up. This evening, I hopped in my truck for the first drive of the day. Peak temperature for the day was 106 according to my weather station, and the truck is parked outside in the sun. Shortly after leaving the house i noticed this battery temperature. Obviously from sitting in the sun, not from anything the truck was doing. Fired up CarScanner so I could watch it cool off - it did.

The gauge is not showing warning colors (yellow / orange) so it's not likely an issue yet, cycling of the fans does happen, but mine would be roaring for several minutes in milder conditions, possibly there is an issue.

I have the dual ACCM which has one dedicated to the Battery.. and Mine was at 37 C which was basically ambient temp saturday.

It stayed that way all day. The only other time it got that high was when I was fast charging on the way out of town and it was 110.. it got close to the top of the acceptable limits. Id say as long as its in that bracket its fine.

I dont think it is anything to worry about. Im in Ft Worth..

Was in downtown Dallas Sunday with OAT @ 115dF & my 2023 LER was also running a bit warmer & the AC was on Max for quite a while. It settled down back to normal on the way out of town. Fan upfront was roaring the whole time.

It's been crazy hot here too, 110 for the next three days predicted and I often see the truck report the battery temp that high. It's never been a problem, so like others I would not be concerned that the battery is over heating.

On the A/C side though, I cranked up the volume and I think I could hear what you are referring to. I've never had my A/C behave like that. If it's consistent, I would also take it in and have the dealer check it out. Last thing you want is for the fan to die on you in a heat wave.
