There is a button to open the frunk. It's closer to the driver's side. It also closes it.
On the interior of the truck there is a button as well to the left of steering wheel near the light controls.
What I meant to say was a button on the fob.

All I want is more range. Just give me 400 miles unloaded, 150 to 200 miles towing. I will be as happy as a lark. LOVE the rest of the truck.

This is an electrical code thing that Ford is going to be unable to fix.
Sure they can. Lots of generators have this feature…..

Neutral has to be bonded to ground somewhere in the system. Otherwise you lose all the protection it provides. Being as the primary use case for Pro-Power is to directly power devices/tools, it has to be bonded.

In my research, only generators intended to be used as a standby power source have floating neutrals, as they are depending on the existing bond in the distribution center they service.

It's vehicle mounted so the generator must be bonded.
Is this per the NEC? If so it also seems like the NEC leaves the door open for the Lightning to have a floating neutral.

Yep I totally understand. It would be nice if there was a jumper for a “home backup generator” mode. There are certainly ways to solve for both.

For those that mention having drive mode default to last used, I believe it is an EPA thing, just like it is ICE vehicles to maintain maintain the EPA rating. That is why engine start/stop always turns on as well as drive mode returns to normal.
Honestly, I the improvements I’d like to see is a button on the fob to open the frunk. Most of these recommendations are superficial, which is fine, but what Ford really needs to do is to have the service soon notification tell you what needs to be serviced, not generic powertrain fault. Maybe focus on getting through a year with minimal recalls, and work with the dealers to actually do the work Ford pays them for and we as customers expect. Not just order a part based on what the customer says, but actually pull codes to see what’s wrong.
I can open my frunk from the fob
