My Mongoose came in the mail today the Clore should be here Wednesday. Plan to get a 2 day FDRS license this weekend.

After a day at the dealership for a new 12V battery I am down to 4 modules with updates:

IPMA
RFA
ACM
TRM

Then I need to do the 360 camera fix the other dealership missed when they did 24B56, the Front sensor CSP.

Lastly a few things in FORScan.

Looks like you did pretty good. They updated everything major aside from the new IPMA update that came out yesterday. Note the RFA and ACM won't disappear after updating. This is an ongoing issue.

I'm using the 75amp version. Looks like it went up about $20 since I bought one two months ago but still a good option for ~$300. Amazon.com: PowerMax PMBC-75 75 Amp 12V Battery Charger with Clamps : Electronics

The Clore PL6100 seems to be the standard but do note you'll need a 20 amp outlet or an adapter for a regular 15 amp house outlet. Some have used cheaper rv power supplies with no issues. No experience with those, but any that have a power supply mode capable of 75amps+ should work and not cause any puckering.

I don’t think it really matters. They are both high-quality. I did a bunch of updates over the weekend including a 2 1/2 hour IPMA and mine kept it charged fluctuating between 13.1 and 13.2 Amps in FDRS the whole time!

I had the IPMA and PSCM listed yesterday and installed both successfully. Just a heads up, I took it for a test drive and got the Stop Safely Now error. Hooked it back up and cleared DTCs and retested, SSN was still there. Disconnected the 12V battery for 5 minutes and then the SSN was gone. Then a Service Now message popped up. Cleared DTCs and retested and all is clear now. Mike G indicated "Both are caused by the interruption of traffic on the network." He experienced the same errors after he installed these updates.

Looks the same aside from not having the clips or an an lcd screen to display the voltage. Also the sticker on the top lists an output of 13.6V while the pmbc-75has 13.2,13.8 and 14.6 but not sure that matters since i keep mine at 13.8. Guess you could just use a multimeter to check voltage though.

I use this one. Sometimes low tech is better. This one just has 2 dials. One for amperage and one for time (duration of charge)

I'm very indecisive on what power supply to get. I've got about $100-$150 budgeted at the moment. Otherwise it'll have to wait until xmas shopping is done so I can see what damage that did.

Be careful using a battery charger as a power Supply. The boost modes are not designed for hours of continuous output at the rated 50A. Most times it’s only 15-30 min and it’s not supplying a steady state of voltage or amperage.

IPMA updates can be 1.5-3.5 hours depending on your VCI speeds so I would not recommend any one use a charger in boost mode for flashing modules in FDRS
