Modem not working.
I noticed that my truck info on my phone was not updating.
Called Ford Pass and the rep went through a series of diagnostics to determine that the modem, in the truck, was not working. It will go into the shop at the end of the month. Four months old and less than 1500 miles.
Anyone else experienced this?

Pull the negative lead off the 12v battery for 20 min, then put it back on.

12 v disconnect as @RickLightning notes. There are settings that will also prevent your app from getting updates. Double check those setting about connectivity and make sure they are all on after you reconnect your battery.

Cold reboot by disconnecting the 12v battery as mentioned above. I suggest putting this on your calendar. I do this quarterly.

Fuse 32 in the passenger footwell is the modem if you don't want to disconnect the 12v. Reset and make sure connectivity is enabled.

I’ve generally found this modem reset easier and quicker than disconnecting the 12v LVB. It also seems to the reduce the number of infotainment settings I have to re-enter.

I had the same problem with my 2023 er ..pulled fuses, a bunch of times…. Called Ford….. the only thing that worked is I took it to the dealer and they replaced the TCU…. And it has worked great ever since without any issues…. Was covered by warranty

Same here - 12v disconnect would not solve the issue. Although in my case the dealer had to replace the gateway control module.

Yes, I had that exact same problem when my truck was a day old. I took the negative terminal off of the 12 V battery for about 20 minutes and reinstalled. My truck started to update and everything worked fine after that.

This happened to me when I first bought my truck. Nothing worked except finally replacing the TCU / modem.

I think it’s one of those Ford parts that says “Scrap if dropped” and I’m guessing some of these drops go into the truck anyways. Just my own theory.

Happened to me twice so far, both times disconnecting the battery fixed it almost immediately. Only thing is make sure the charger is not connected also, only worked when I disconnected that also.
