New BlueCruise Version 1.4 - Rollout March 2025

I decided to see what updates were waiting for me and had my VIN run (Shoutout to @rugedraw!) and found that there were almost a dozen that my 23 Lariat had not yet received. I decided to go the mongoose/FDRS route, and ordered the mongoose, a forscan cable, and a 75 amp charger.

After delivery and several hours of studying the forums here (thank you all)… and several hours of updates, I have an updated truck (except for the dealer-only BCM update). I did have to use Forscan to show the BC 1.4 toggles, but also added the glare free headlights while I was there (after full backup of each module).

Took a glorious 140 round trip on the highway last weekend and it was everything that others have said… smooth and a pleasure to drive. Maybe also psyching myself out here, but it even feels like a different truck.

i get that dealerships don’t get paid to do the updates… but it really sucks not having the latest updates because they can’t figure out how to get them to customers.

PS… if anyone in Maine needs a hand updating, let me know.

FORD, deliver the updates faster. Your marketing push for sitting on updates for the benefit of your current year model year is KLING YOU; vs the positive word of mouth reviews you could get if you’d publish your updates faster.

My 1.4 update failed on 3/29. No update attempts againfrom ford until 4/9 when they sent the window update. Then yesterday, two weeks after the first time they tried to send 1.4, it showed up again. This time, the download succeeded and it installed overnight with no issues.

Woot! Woot! Mine came through this weekend and installed successfully this time. Quick test on the highway and it is working great.

So mine didn’t work originally. But then I took all four tires off.. put the truck on blocks. Then restarted the router, fed my dog, and then put the tires back on.

Based on the listing of members vehicle specifications, several owning 2022's have posted about receiving BC-1.4

While many of us are still on the second or third stringers bench waiting for deployment.
