Hey there, back again.
This time I just saw an Ad on CBS regarding a F-150 HYBRID.
Not a ICE, Not a Lightning this was a Hybrid, I have NOT heard of this.
Honestly, I would have still, jumped from the ICE to the Lightning.
I searched here in the forum for F-150 Hybrid and got nothing, so I'm now posting...

A.K.A. the "Poweboost" or PB on the F150gen14 forum.

It's actually a good idea to check out the "regular" F150 forum as they have a much larger membership and lots of their stuff transfers over to the Lightnings. Under your profile icon you can hit "account copy" and copy your profile to that forum easy-peasy.

It' funny . . .Ford Has a ad specifically stating the Ford F-150 Hybrid, But NOT an Ad specifically for the Lightning, and . . . they did not refer to it as a PB. Which is why I posted (Not familiar w/a PB) sorry

"Hybrid" is easier to say and more recognizable than "Powerboost" is my guess. The first time I heard "Powerboost" I thought it was a turbocharged or supercharged ICE or something like that. Anything with the word "power" in it probably makes pickup shoppers look closer than something named "hybrid" though... Who knows 🤷‍♂️

FYI - the Powerboost also has the option for the 7.2 kW Pro Power Onboard, which is one of the reasons that truck has become more popular in recent years.

I had two PowerBoosts before the Lightning. It was a great truck and if you can swing the up charge for the PB and 7.2kW it's a good combo for someone that needs to do more towing.

That said, it was frustrating trying to keep it in EV drive as much as possible, although it was fun at first. Definitely not sad to have a Lightning now.

But if you're driving across country often or towing more than a couple hundred miles often, the PB is a great way to have an F-150 without quite as many fuel stops and the ProPower helped us out a number of times.

Just like how Ford advertises Blue Cruise and then publishes order guides where they call it Copilot 360 Active.

I had a 21 Powerboost. Very nice truck, but it wasn't that great on mileage. I got 24 mpg once, on a 7-mile drive, in subdivisions. It powered my house twice during close hurricanes. If really needs a bigger battery.

If you look at any recent interviews with Jim Farley, it’s pretty evident they’re putting EV’s on the shelf for a while. All of a sudden Ford is very excited about hybrids. They actually make a profit!
