There's something else in here for 22s with PaaK đź‘€
I’m still waiting for the update of the Bluecruise to come across. I don’t think I want this so I’m sure it’ll be delivered very soon.

Walk Away Lock!!!?
But why not put it in the notes????
You would have thought that would have been mentioned. After having Honda Ridgelines before my Lightning, it was a feature I needed/wanted.

Not surprised no notes after having to delete my BlueOval completely due to a software bug with the new FP 5.18 that will not allow you to disable Plug N Charge.

I had other free EA hours to use and FordPass with PnC would block you from using the EA app. Ford has a lot of software work to do...or just hire better people that know what they are doing.

Maybe they didn't mention it yet because we received the feature without any controls?
Yes, but they also rolled out BC 1.4 without the controls to disable. But in the notes they stated that the controls would come in a later update.

The new BCM software has been out for over 6 months and has been installed by dealers (like mine did). Note it is standard for 2024's. So when dealers installed it, this was enabling WAL without the controls for 22-23's. Many of us got the dealer to update the BCM for that purpose and used FORScan to enable the controls.

I think Ford forgot that 22-23's didn't have WAL and controls - so when they pushed this OTA for a frunk function, they inadvertently forgot the WAL code was now in there.

Or they knew but didn't tell the person writing notes. Which happens a lot!

What a mess, obviously the version control oversight is lacking.

I’d love for them to also extend the range of the WAL feature, in addition to allowing us to set a “home” location. It’s annoying that my truck locks when I unplug the charging cord and hang it back up on the charger inside my normal sized 2-car garage.

Yeah time and location based options would be good. It's widely inconsistent as is, sometimes it locks before I can get from the driver's side to passenger side and other times it can take a minute or so or not even lock

Good thing I like Walkaway Lock. Appears a slider under Locking is coming some day.

Yep. Disabling automatic updates until the subsequent fix update is also available.

I don’t want to lose walk away lock while they work on a fix- looks like the next update is going to remove it until they do.

PSA if you got walk away lock and actually like it, disable automatic updates now and follow news on the fix and wait until the follow-up update is out before enabling updates again.

Good advice on shutting off Auto Updates. Another option is leave it on and just delay the install if it is the WAL removal (based on notes).

I know ultimately, you'd need to let it install if you want to stay in the update release flow. I already have the important ones like BC 1.4 but I know some are still waiting.

Yeah - that isn't the approach you'd like to see. Why one step back? Just send the APIM.
