2023 F150 Lighting ER Lariat
Recently I found some YouTube videos talking about remove full view not available, 50/50 split camera screen and camera on turn signal.

im trying to follow those Forscan guides but I don’t find the matching addresses in the APIM procedures

any ideas?

I got 2023 f150 lightning latrit with the big touchscreen.

Are those mods only available with the small screen or gas version only?

thanks,

Turn signal cameras only work while towing. Just FYI.

But you are going to help us figure out how to make the truck think it has a trailer without thinking it really has a trailer right? :).

A bit crazy that these cameras can get that angle, but Ford wouldn't make it available to us. Makes me think of Glare Free lights. Approved now in the US (at least some functions of them) - we know how easy those would be to make the option available and deliver some after market value, but crickets.

The only way is to plug something into trailer connection that draws enough power to make the truck think it has a trailer connected. If there is a way to do it with FORScan, don't hold your breathe for me to figure it out. That is above my paygrade. lol

Somebody ought to try to ask Farley or Levine on social media. This rises to that level of stupidity. I can't believe that they haven't encountered FULL VIEW NOT AVAILABLE and wondered WTF?

How long did it take Farley to admit their charging network was sh*t? They won't acknowledge and fix anything. Likely too many lawyers involved at Ford.

I like to think there was a working group for this topic.

Big Shot - "Team, I'd like to know why we have a black box in the middle of the screen reading "Full View Not Available."

Team Guy - "Sir, it's because you can't see the full view with the black box in the way."

Big Shot - "Have you thought about removing the box so the full view would be available."

Team Guy - "But then we couldn't have a box that reads Full View Not Available."

Big Shot - "Excellent work Jensen! Keep the box that obscures the full view, and make sure it reads Full View Not Available. Good job team, take the rest of the day off."

Yes
It's because Ford is not Tesla. Ford, like many large corporations, tracks the time and cost of every minute of every software developer. Nobody does anything that isn't part of some big corporate level plan for what and when. They're not capable of flexible, rapid, and effective software updates. This is how Ford as a corporation has always done everything, slow and steady, over-cautious. It's nearly impossible to change because it's the entire corporation operating in this manner.

Telsa is the opposite and always has been from the start. If someone says "hah wouldn't it be funny if you honked the horn and it made a farting sound?" The answer is yes, and it becomes reality in 2 weeks.

My office overlooks the parking lot. It's a minor thrill to fart the company Tesla when some random person is walking by. "I don't know what your talking about. It's an electric car. It doesn't have gas."

I got full view not available removal working, but not camera at signal even with trailer attached (fake trailer plug that got recognized by the vehicle)

Did you make the changes to both the APIM to get the toggle button to turn the feature on and the change on the IPMA that enables the feature itself? If you did both changes, you need to go into your touchscreen and toggle the feature on. From my understanding, 2023 F150s (and Lightings) have the correct IPMA software to be able to do this.

The 2022s can load the IPMA according to this thread:

2021 can, too. I have it on mine and somewhere in that thread, I posted a video of it in action. However, I had to side load the 2023 IPMA software with forscan when I did mine as the current IPMA software was not in FDRS yet. Anyone without a 2023 with fdrs can install the new IPMA software that is out now and activate this, but the only trucks that can enable this without newer IPMA software being installed on it are 2023 models.
