Have you monitored with a scanner to confirm if all battery conditions remain the same? Just trying to eliminate all possible other causes ...

Yes, I had a full charge and the battery wasn't hot. I need to connect an OBD-II data collector and see if anything odd pops out. I have the Torque app and an OBD-II scanner that I used for my ICE Explorer, but it doesn't collect the right data. Any suggestions?

I feel the same way, that acceleration just isnt quite what it was before. But maybe I'm just more used to it.

That someone was me. I was able to squeal the tires by punching it even at 30mph. I can no longer squeal the tires even from a stand still. I only have about 7000 miles on the truck but tires should be more warn then when new so it should break free easier. From the last thread where this was discussed, it was mentioned maybe they improved traction control, so I did tests by disabling traction control and advance track. Made no difference, I still can't squeal the tires.

As I mentioned in the last thread, I am not really complaining because the truck is still insanely fast. I just found it interesting that something changed. I also agree with Firn's assessment, they probably reduced current a bit to protect the battery or motor or something. Even so, they should communicate these things otherwise they open themselves up to lawsuits and bad publicity.

I agree 100%. It's not the same truck I test drove and purchased..... for a premium.

Bait and switch lawsuit if you wanted to take it that far. Kinda like buying a tesla model S for performance and getting the experience of a Prius.

Ford should give us a notice and explanation for the need to do this change. It's only hurting the relationship they have with loyal customers. It was a sneaky move.

Agreed. I’ve tried using my phone to measure 0-60. I’m somewhere in the high 5 second mark with tires warmed. Usually at about 70% state of charge when I’m doing these impromptu tests.

I floor my truck everywhere and it’s just as fast as with 26k miles as it did at 4 miles. I was not rude or disrespectful. I’m just saying you’re Trippin. “You feel your truck slower”

I feel similarly about the acceleration, but I’d also add-in the deceleration rate in 1-pedal drive seems to be reduced. I thought it was from screwing around (added the glare-free option) in FORScan, but it is interesting to see others reporting the same. I haven’t done any concrete analysis, but anecdotally a 5.0 F-150 out ran me on the highway the other day. Granted we were going around 70 and I know the juice is limited in the upper speed range.

This was a super common thread or discussion in forums or discord servers when the model 3 was newer in 2018 or so. It's all psychological. You're just used to it now.

I have not noticed any change.

On the Mach-E, Ford has remapped regen braking several times, but most were noted in the update notes.

No change here, I worry about the instant torque damaging the gears in the ev motor/gear when I stomp on it, it just reacts too quickly. I little gradual acceleration in the first 1/2 second would actually be welcomed, as I want (need) this thing to last since its over 36k miles lol

So I am "tripping" (drugged up) or physiologically halusinating that I was able to squeal my tires before and now I can't (that seems like a pretty cut and dry difference. that is not subjective). Many people have also reported this. I am very glad that you are not experiencing the same thing. Takes some kind of special person to scour the forums to tell people they are "tripping" when they don't experience the same thing. Do you say the same thing to those that need to get stuck on the side of the road and need their battery serviced too. I know I've never had to service my battery so I guess those people just don't know EV's or don't know how to drive and are tripping too.

Then when someone confronts you to say, you really shouldn't accuse people of "tripping", you call them a troll and say what has America come to if you can't take a little name calling. Wow... looked in a mirror lately.
