Just listened to this on the way into work. The guts of it are that the donut lab battery can really handle the heat well, or at least at levels where lithium isn't ever tested. Still leaves many questions unanswered though and the slow trickle of videos is already getting old. They may be trying to milk the hype and PR over this but I can see it backfiring if they take too long.

Many comments in that video indicate the strategy for slow walking the technical details.

If they have a great new battery with ground breaking specs and energy density, that alone should be enough. If they lean into the “solid state” claim and it turns out to not be, that would be counter productive.

they are able to say they are first to mass production due to their product being used in a small package, low volume product. read an article this week about byd's new battery with lithium and carbon nanotube tech, but it didn't explicitly say that it was solid state. but it otherwise followed a similar charge/discharge cycle performance. wonder if it's the same tech.

BYD announced a suv with a 10C LFP battery last week (5 min charging). Solid State is just one type of battery. The next ten years will be very confusing for the market because we’re going to see multiple high performance batteries with different characteristics of speed, cost, density, and temperature range.

Donut has lost my interest. I'll care again when I see production vehicle reviews.
