Agreed that most don't use it; mostly because people are scared of it. If they only knew how quick and easy this was to fix, it would make their heads' spin. I always make the recommendation. Whether people will take the plunge or not is up to them.
I'd try Forscan if I had a PC. I have a Mac and it's just not worth the effort/cost to get Windows loaded on it to run Forscan.

This is why I've been adamant here that I do not want WAL without toggles. I'm probably in the minority who doesn't want WAL (I don't want it to lock in my garage), and I hoped Ford would read my posts and put the toggle in before the update. I've also not taken the truck in for CSPs because I didn't want to risk getting the BCM update with WAL.

Just got mine today (25.2.1.6.5) and it was much quicker than most updates. Super happy I can now turn of WAL. I like the idea, but I just want to control it.

Okay this is weird. I enabled the toggles with Forscan before any of these updates were delivered OTA, got the BCM update and walk away lock still didn’t work, but it let me turn it on initially. Turned it off to try and reset it but then it didn’t let me toggle it back on, giving an error that it’s unavailable.

Now I get this APIM update and it took away my toggles entirely lol

I do have a 2022 Pro in EAP so maybe it’s not supposed to work? But then why deliver these updates to me..?

I still haven't received the BCM update, tried to toggle WAL via FORScan, the toggles wouldn't stay (kept flipping off), and then I get this update today and my toggles are still there and still won't stay on.

I guess this won't work until I get a BCM update so it's weird this rolled through first. My '22 Lariat was in EAP had everything updated and WAL functional but I only recently enrolled my '22 Platinum in EAP so who knows...

I have found WAL to be very consistent when it comes to how far away you needed to be from the truck to trigger the locking.

For those who have access to this kind of info. Is this APIM update available via FDRS at this point? I signed up for early access almost a year ago and don’t have any hope of them admitting any new vehicles to it.

I also had the same issue. I enabled the toggles previously via Forscan and just got the update last night. Now my toggles are gone. I haven’t had a chance to try to edit the values again.

I have a 22 ER Lariat and it has WAL. This was on the truck back in March when it came back from the dealer after two battery modules were replaced
I do not have the sliders nor does it honk
But it works pretty well and I get a notification on the phone e the truck has locked
Now only if I can get BC1.4

An OTA or FDRS update reverting FORScan changes is nothing new. It's actually very common. It's (imo) a minor nuisance that FORScan users have to deal with.

Same here and added the menu items to disable/enable WAL and silence the audible on a 22 Lariat.

Everyone should be patient and wait a bit, FORSCAN seems to conflict with the latest update. And if you’re patient you may not have to deal with FORSCAN at all…
Patience is a virtue. Some people have and some people don't. Even the ones that have it, have a limit. Case in point: Found this guy in a Facebook group looking for help. Truck had been in an out of the dealer with (supposedly) Ford engineers involved; claims a field engineer was sent to the dealer to figure out the issue. BC stopped working after the BC 1.4 OTA installed. FORScan virgin truck. He sent me his VIN and in 15 seconds, I found the issue. The OTA added the config for lane change and all the other stuff, but turned off the config for BC and enabled traffic jam assist instead. I had him make two minor changes in the IPMA and his issue was fixed in 3 minutes; something the dealer could not figure out in months and multiple drop-offs of the vehicle.

This is one case out of literally hundreds of people have fixed things with the knowledge and help of a very select few people on these forums. So those of you that want to wait for Ford, y'all go ahead and continue do so.
