EDIT - I guess the Expedition's wheel base is over 20 inches shorter than the the F-150, even though it uses the F-150 chassis. Still, it makes me wonder if it would work!

That likely means that the battery won’t fit, especially the ER.

I've seen the tailgate prototype. I wouldn't want it. I'll stick with the stepgate.

The new gate scares me. It looks like something that is going to break my fingers off some how.

I Imagine it would be an option or only available on higher trims.

I am honestly wondering why Ford doesn't drop the Expedition body on the Lightning chassis and create the Expedition Lightning. You would think it could be fairly easily built at Rouge as well.

I mean they could just make the Expedition Lightning L or just make the Expedition Lightning a distinct model with a stretched body with either greater rear seat leg room, increased cargo space or both.

It will be low volume, no doubt. It's so complicated to assemble that Ford is outsourcing it.

It’s a refresh of Gen 14 design.

Guessing I need to wake up and get back to the right decade. Correct '24 !!

The '24 ICE Build and Price is live on ford.com. Lightning is still showing '23.

Built a new ICE Platinum. Added most upgrades. $84,495.

No mention anywhere of Android. B&O Unleashed is listed with 14 speakers. Quite certain unleashed used to have 18 speakers. Added heads up display.

If it's in the ICE truck, good chance it makes it to the Lightning. It's the same dash.

On ICE it looks like the new tailgate is late availability at later date and not orderable. Heads up on ICE is Lariat and Up with no option on XLT

From what Ford has said they will effectively stop the lightning and start the T3 at roughly the same time . I'm sure there will be some overlap, but not a full years worth. If T3 runs late who knows what happens. They supposedly have something else slated to be built in the lightnings factory space.

There is nothing currently scheduled to take the place of the Lightning in the current assembly plant. Something may come out of the Union contract negotiations, but the building is scheduled to be turned into storage, part sequencing, and upfitter space.

When T3 comes online, Dearborn is scheduled to be retooled for the next gen ICE truck. From what I'm told, there will be no electric version of that truck.
