You won't see T3 this early.

A concept truck? Possible. But not the production truck.

I'm not surprised at that, but seems Ford is putting on a big todo over almost nothing. The '24 is not a major redesign. Just tweaks. Maybe finally the Android Auto computer that is now a couple of years late. Just trying to appease some unions in light of the talks?

The event is all about the ICE F150 for 2024 but it would be interesting to see a teaser.

They'd probably show off the lightning black and new ranger. With the increase in lightning volume there might be room for more colors/options to brag about. The press is going to ask about the t3 so they're at least going to have to give some update. Would be great to see a concept.

I mean Ford should be in a rush, let the Cybertruck take the spotlight for a couple of weeks and then hit them upside the head with the Raptor Lightning
I'm pretty sure a Lightning Raptor is not in the cards considering Ford had been exploring an off road Lightning, but scrapped the idea when they realized how heavy the Lightning already was and they found that a super heavy truck is quite ill-suited for off road capability, especially in loose substrates like sand or dry gravel-ly dirt.

ICE order banks are opening tomorrow afternoon but they are still mum on lightning. They are playing a game of chicken with tesla and Chevy to see who blinks first to announce updates and pricing so they can make necessary adjustments. It sounds like ICE is getting an option for the multifunction tailgate which may or may not make it to Lightning.

I've seen the tailgate prototype. I wouldn't want it. I'll stick with the stepgate.

The leaked pictures of the '14 tonight are no real surprises. New lights and grill. Nothing else shown or known. It's only a minor update. If they could get Android integrated that will be the only change that would make a difference from the '23's.

Android was supposed to power Ford vehicles beginning with the 2023 model year. Missing the 2024 model year is quite unfathomable.

I am honestly wondering why Ford doesn't drop the Expedition body on the Lightning chassis and create the Expedition Lightning. You would think it could be fairly easily built at Rouge as well.

EDIT - I guess the Expedition's wheel base is over 20 inches shorter than the the F-150, even though it uses the F-150 chassis. Still, it makes me wonder if it would work!
