They should be able to at least check to see if it needs to be repaired/replaced??
I took mine in a month or two ago, but it was fine!
Edit: I just checked Fordpass app and I took it in on 3/4/25 got the recall, probably February?

Looks like they extended the affected build dates. They reissued it today 5/27/25. The original recall Stated: "All vehicles subject to this campaign were built between November 5, 2023 and February 13, 2024"

According to my Window Sticker mine was one built on 02/20/25, a year after the original build date was listed. My 2024 Platinum is one of the last 2024's built before they started to build 2025s .

Reading the recall, they check the torque on the nut. If the torque is in spec then they just replace the bolt and to torque it. If the torque is out of spec they must replace the knuckle and nut

I got the same recall notification for a 2024 Flash.

Thanks for the heads up.

I just bought a new '25 flash on 5/24, got a notice on the fordpass app 5/29, got a text form the salesman 5/29 asking to pick up truck to remediate as they can't finalize sale until it's been done. Truck was manufactured on 2/14/25.

Update:

The Service Advisor was able to get the recall completed prior to being delivered yesterday. Truck was delivered to my house late afternoon yesterday. Typical comment from the valet who drove it to my home; "Boy does this truck drive SO NICE"

The truck was washed and vacuumed, and fully charged. When it arrived it had 94% charge after driven from the dealership to my home.

Since many seem to not actually have a problem, is there any reason I can't just check if the nut is still there, put a torque wrench on it and check and if OK call it a day? Anyone know what the torque is supposed to be?

Just have the dealer send a mobile tech to your house or place of business and do the recall.

The recall states to check the torque and if it is OK then to Replace the nut.

If it isn't ok then replace the upper joint and nut.

Mine was torqued properly. So they just replaced the nuts with a newer revision and brought it back to me. About 3 hours all in including the hour drive each way.

https://fordauthority.com/2025/06/2024-2025-ford-f-150-lightning-recalled-detached-control-arm/

Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2024-2025 Ford F-150 Lightning pickups over an issue with detaching control arms.

The defect: in affected vehicles, the front upper control arm ball joint nut may not have been tightened properly, allowing the front upper control arm to detach from the knuckle assembly.

The hazards: a detached control arm can cause a loss of vehicle steering and control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford is not aware of any reports of accidents or injuries related to this condition.

Components: upper control arm ball joint nut

Affected vehicles: select 2024-2025 Ford F-150 Lightning pickups built between February 15th, 2024, and April 14th, 2025.

Number of vehicles affected: 29,501

The fix: dealers will inspect the upper control arm ball joint nut, and replace the nut and/or knuckle assembly, as necessary, free of charge.

Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin June 9th, 2025. The Ford reference number for this recall is 24S76.

'23 Lightning Lariat ER
A heads-up here for those affected and a request for feedback. I was notified that my '23 Lariat ER was subject to the recall, took it in, and the truck now drives with noticeably more body roll/lean in corners and more float overall. In the midst of my 3rd service visit and despite driving with a tech, service claims they can't replicate the complaint to address.

Has anyone had a similar experience or can offer advice? For further background, the recall inspection resulted in two new nuts and no additional remedy. Given that I had a vibration in the front end before and don't now, I've wondered if the inspection was done incorrectly and the steering knuckles should have been replaced.

To complicate things, during the recall appointment my steering column was dropped to retrieve a loose part in the firewall and tires were also rotated. Received the truck back with an alarming amount of float and inaccurate steering, but the next service visit verified and improved with an alignment, however still having the issues described above.

Truck has been seen by multiple service departments and is still with one now that can't replicate. Will be asking them to check alignment again, give options on replacing the steering knuckles, and if necessary, request review by a Ford field tech. Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance for any feedback.

Gotine.dont. Dealership sent Mobile service and all work was done in the parking lot where I work.
Dammit! I called two dealerships and both said a mobile service couldn’t be done. I called one of the dealerships again and they said they can do mobile service which made skeptical that they can at the very least replace a nut in my driveway and then have to schedule my truck to go to the dealership and have it done there. So i ended up canceling the mobile service and had the truck scheduled to be brought to the dealership. Mobile service would have been more convenient.🤦🏻‍♂️

I too have a '23 Lariat ER that had the initial recall. I haven't noticed anymore float, but when making a sharp left hand turn (only to left, not right) I now hear a rubbing sound and occasionally a slight knock. Only time(s) I am making such a sharp turn is in a parking lot or having to leave a parking lot. Anyone else? Normal? I'm right at 10,000 miles so have the 10,000 mile service scheduled.

My dealership had a mobile tech come, pick up truck, and then drop off after recall was completed.
