Unable to charge, DTC U0293

Last night, I noticed my level 2 charge session errored out (orange on the charge indicator). I've seen this occasionally since I got the truck, and usually it clears up if I unplug and replug. I didn't address it last night, as I had plenty of range for Friday's travels, and I didn't notice it until I was in my pajamas. I wasn't going back out to the chilly.

Fast forward to today, and after running around all day, I came home to have the same problem charging. I could hear the relay clicking in the EVSE (and the truck), but the truck wouldn't charge.

I started with process of elimination:

1. Unplug/replug EVSE at the source: no bueno
2. Swap to a different EVSE: no love
3. Test both EVSE's on another EV in the household: both work fine
4. Try charging the truck again: fail
5. Disconnect 12v battery, just to give everything a good reboot: no change, still no charge
6. I got in the truck to pull DTCs from the truck, and see if anything useful got logged, and yep, I got this:

A quick search leads me to:

Both of which sound like I'm making a trip to the dealer. Again. Yay.

Anyone else had similar? I search the forum for that particular DTC before posting, and came up empty.

I didn't get as far as looking up the error codes, but I recently started getting the orange charge ring and would not charge at any AC chargers. I'm still able to DCFC however, so I'm doing that while the dealership orders the part. They had it for two days and troubleshot it down to the charger port, which seems odd but they are going to replace that and see if it fixes it. They were on the phone with Ford engineers going through a diagnostic process to narrow it down to the charge port. I would check it on a DCFC if you have one in the area.

I meant to mention in my OP, that is my plan. I was going to try it at a DCFC tomorrow, as I was suspecting it would work. And at least that would make it still usable.

also going back to the original post, I had never seen an orange ring before, and once I got my first one nothing would work again, I had to wait a week for the dealership to see it, but it never charged on AC after the first fault

Update: I am at a 150KW EA DCFC right now, and it is charging just fine, as we all expected. So at least I have an option until the dealership can get me squared away.

Status update on this issue: The dealer has had it for 2 weeks now. If I understood correctly, they have replaced the onboard ac-dc charger, and that didn't resolve it. Then they arrived at replacing the inlet, which required a parts order. Those parts have arrived, but it's not clear whether the inlet replacement has actually been completed yet. Today, the Service Advisor stated that they were waiting on a part called a "Charger Battery", part# nl3z10b689c. Whatever this is, it seems to sell for close to $2k. I can't find any clarification on what it actually is. It's not the 12v battery, and it's not the HV traction battery, so what the hell is it? The SA had no idea. He did say that he saw the whole bed off the truck, so it's something on top of the HV battery pack?

Anyone here familiar with what the Charger Battery is?

The AC/DC charger is under the bed rear of HVB and over the rear drive motor if memory serves my right.
