I find your experience interesting because on Monday I received a FordPass message saying my plug & charge is active. I didn’t make any changes to it since turning it off about a year ago.

Knowing the development cycle to get a critical bug-fix down the pipeline, they wanted to ensure NO ONE is stranded, unfortunately that inconvenienced many users who want to optimize when they desire to use preferential subscription pricing.
This is mere speculation on my part, but default or forced safe mode is likely what we're seeing.

Certainly plausible, though that gives them a lot of credit...lol. I just went in to my app to see if P&C shows as off and it does. Glad I went in as I see i was just granted 10.1.0 by the kind folks in Dearborn...yay!

I think BC 1.4 is still in some form of beta testing, hopefully it won't be much longer if the testers give it a thumbs up and aren't overly critical for bells and whistles that aren't needed.

I did have to reset the auto speed sign reading setting but that's all.

Try changing your auto update time after every trip to just after you get out. This works for me every time once I see others getting the update.
This update is a non-inhibit package, your truck will install it after the next shutdown.
If this happens to be when you're out and about and making numerous stop & go trips, and it's in the middle of an update cycle, be patient for it to complete if you see strangeness on the screens and operational behaviour, DO NOT pull fuses or or the battery terminal while it's working or for a few hours after the process ~appears~ to be complete.
