@Andrewbens I've also gotten free rotation at Discount Tire.

On topic, I'm curious about the brake flush. I just had my 40k service on my '22 and the dealer said nothing about brake fluid service. Does that mean they missed it by just following the schedule we see on FordPass?

AC flush...lol, if it's blowing cold it's fine.

Discount Tire here in Nebraska has always done free tire rotations and flat repairs (if a nail isn't too close to the sidewall). I do buy tires from them when I need them, but they are indifferent to where the tires came from when they rotate them for me.

I can see the brake flush after 3 years.

There is no such thing as a routine AC flush that is on a closed loop system that is functioning correctly. You actually risk introducing contaminants by wastefully vacuuming it down and recharging it. Refrigerant does not just go "bad". Since it is part of the BEV cooling system loop, I would be shocked to find out the system is not supervised by multiple sensors.

I had just rotated tires at Discount tire so didn't need that. I passed on both the AC and brake flush, I mean first thing you hear is your brakes will last forever driving a EV and low cost/low maintenance. I think that service seems to early at 29500 miles.

I took my truck in for the 30,000 mile service (well I used the pick and delivery service) last month to have everything checked before my 36,000 mile warranty is up this year. Checked everything and rotated the tires for $49. Recommended the in cabin air filter change but I told them I did that myself. Didn’t gouge me for anything else. I was actually shocked they didn’t try to upsell me on something.

Brake pads and rotors last for forever, however the brake flush changes the fluid which is an entirely different service.

In short, brake fluid LOVES to absorb moisture and if it does that can lead to corrosion and can also cause the fluid to boil early causing brake fade.

However 30,000 miles seems very early to do that. 3 years is the recomended time, but the vast majority of systems go WAAAY longer

I'm at Ford dealer for the 30,000 service and they are recommending a brake fluid flush for $177 and a AC flush for $320. I ask him if I didn't do these would it affect my warranty in any way and he says yes it can.
Has anyone done these at 30K and how can it be true that if I have a break problem or AC it will affect my warranty? Is this just dealer doing dealer things. ?
I just did the 30K mile service, and they only recommended tire rotation. That was $75. I recommend you get the FordPass Rewards card. You could use your reward points to pay for services.

I just did the 30K mile service, and they only recommended tire rotation. That was $75. I recommend you get the FordPass Rewards card. You could use your reward points to pay for services.
FordPass rewards for the win.

My service advisor couldn't answer what the 30K service was. When I told her that I just bought it at 26K miles as a CPO, she was completely perplexed...she presumed that the prior dealer had done the service as part of the CPO reconditioning? I'll wait to get that in writing. Just got new tires, so no need to rotate those yet.

lol it’s a EV you don’t do maintenance on it. Check your fluids and tires and that’s it.

Agree. I'm thinking that I'll test the brake fluid at about 36K miles, just to satiate my curiosity. I'm such a good 1-pedal driver, that I rarely use the brakes anyway.

Local Florida tire shop, Mavis, offers FREE rotations even with reservations.

The FREE rotation cost me a $20 TIP to the kid doing the rotation on my Lightning and/or Super Duty. I usually TIP first so they take good care of my truck and don't get annoyed with me watching.

I watch and make sure that they only use the designated jack point on the Lightning.
