Hi All, Before I describe my problem, please note I have done searches and I am not finding the information that is giving me 80% confidence on what the issue is.

My lightning is at the house right now. It was running fine with zero issues yesterday.
Here are the details
- despite being plugged in the vehicle did not charge last night.
- I went to start it this morning and went to accessories mode and I got a "stop safely now" message.
- it has 56% charge or 160 miles. The truck will not charge.
- the ford charger at the house is all fine (blue light).
- When I plug the charge in it gets blue lights like it was going to work fine. However after about 10 seconds it goes to red blinking light. This is why I did notice a problem last night when I plugged it in.

Troubleshooting so far.
- I have trickled charged my starter battery (the proper way with the posts.) It is fully charged - no change.
- I have tried plugging the vehicle in several times and it is always the same. blue lights followed by red lights a few seconds later.
- I have tried starting and restarting it. including the sequence where I open the drivers door and then shut it to simulate leaving the vehicle.
- I have removed the negative battery terminal for 20 minutes and reattached it with no change.
- I have hooked up a obdii scanner. (it is a very basic one). I don't see any codes at all.

So I could use help on what this could be. I don't want to take it to the dealer until I know what is wrong with it. I want to know what I am faced with before it is in their hands. If I could get any suggestions on what area this sounds like I would appreciate it very much.

A bad cell would be my guess. Odd you don't see any codes but definitely time for a tow to the dealer.

A bad cell would be my guess. Odd you don't see any codes but definitely time for a tow to the dealer.
thanks for reply, I am hoping it is a bad cell as that is covered still, I am going to use my friends more advanced scanner on monday and see what it shows...

It is absolutely an issue with the HVB cell(s). Likely module 7 or 9. Those seem to pop up the most.

Watching, your thread, BTW, was the "power available" to the drive motor showing a 56% rating on the left side of the gauge, and 56% on the right for SOC ?

thank you for asking I will take a photo. the left guage power thing doesnt come up at all. what comes up on the guage is the a road with the image of the f150 and it just says 56% and 158 miles.

I guess in this error condition you can't see the detailed display ie. trip details?
This is only showing you SOC.

yes that is a picture of the type of display I was hoping to show....I can say that it NEVER went int service vehicle soon....it went from working really well with no issues or warnings to just dead stopped...."stop safely now" mode.

I fear that your next step is calling for a flat bed haul to the dealer service center.

Read up in the owners guide how to get the truck into temporary neutral if the tow operator is not well informed

The failure is causing the truck to startup in accessory mode. I agree with Taxman….time for a tow.

My guess is that one of your HVB modules has a cell with substantial voltage deviation, enough that it won't let you drive her even with reduced capacity.
