That is unrelated to walkaway lock.I would agree. I am having to launch the app to manually unlock much more than I had to in the past.

I have read the release notes as well; however, the reality is - WAL worked before update. WAL barely works post update. That is unrelated to walkaway lock.
Updates have affected all kinds of things not mentioned in the release notes.I have read the release notes as well; however, the reality is - WAL worked before update. WAL barely works post update.
I had a similar experience. Update failed several times over a few days, each time giving the 12V battery low message. This update failed to install for 4 days. It finally completed yesterday (13 Feb 26), but my scheduled charging times and target location data in the app are no longer there. The Welcome Lightning also stopped initially. I'm not sure what other issues,, if any, have resulted. Anyone else's update have something similar?
I have scheduled an appointment with the dealer as those first four failed attempts were attributed to the 12-volt battery power not being at a high enough power threshold (80%). I'm not really sure what they should check for now since the update finally completed.
Been there. Hook up a tender that puts out 13.5+ volts, not a smart charger, early in the day. Tender should be downstream of BMS. Then in the afternoon, turn truck on, but turn HVAC, radio, headlights off, and run truck for 6 hours. Have to also disable shutdown timer. After 6 hours, turn off truck and close all doors. See above about frunk being closed also (tender leads wont get crushed). Let the auto update attempt at 1am.I’m open to any suggestions.

Also unplug all 12V addons like dash cams, comma, obd dongles. Keep PAAK and key fobs far away (can turn off BT on phone also). Don’t try to monitor anything, leave the truck alone on the tender.
This is the max effort, clearly not everyone needs to do this. If it fails, start earlier the next day or get the battery checked and replaced if needed.
The problem with WAL is that it’s some sort of proximity situation. It needs to be time based like GM has had for years. Last door is closed and truck locks in 10 sec. Period. Makes no difference how close or far you are with the fob or phone. The way it is now. Sometimes I can be right outside truck and it locks. Other times I can walk a football field away and truck never locks. It’s always been very unreliable and never consistent.I have read the release notes as well; however, the reality is - WAL worked before update. WAL barely works post update.
I’ll do you one even better. How fucking hard is it to show whether the truck is locked or unlocked in the ap? Why are they updating dumb shit instead of fixing something this simple? The problem with WAL is that it’s some sort of proximity situation. It needs to be time based like GM has had for years. Goddamnit! Don’t get me started on the app interface.I’ll do you one even better. How fucking hard is it to show whether the truck is locked or unlocked in the ap? Why are they updating dumb shit instead of fixing something this simple?
