Ford replaced my battery under warranty yesterday. There still wasn’t enough juice to run the update. No biggie. I charged up last night and came out this morning to unplug and leave. Not only did the update not take place (expected), but my truck wouldn’t start. At least I got some practice jump starting the 12v 🤷‍♂️. I don’t know what happened there.
May want to reset the BMS again. The dealer should have done it but you never know.

turn on accessory, flash the high beams 5x and press the brake 3x, battery light then flashes. if I remember correctly

Got the update last night. Charged itself to 100% (despite my 80% limit at home) and dumped my departure times. Lovely.

For me, my (3) FM presets vanished, but SXM were still there. My 80% charge limit was gone, but when I went to put it back, my home location was still available. Minor inconveniences and all seems fine at this point.

My car scanner says my 12v is at 88%. Still refuses to update. Going to have to shut off automatic updates so it doesn’t die on me again.

Going to report that we had this update drop on Friday evening - and I couldn't get it to update. Ended up leaving the truck on as we packed it for a work trip, then slow charged it to 100% for an 8am departure on Saturday.

The update worked, and was good to go when we were. Then on Saturday, I got a second update: Sync 23.2.1.6.5.2.

Got to say that I'm not sure if this cold-weather update changed charge curves, but on our trip down to Carlsbad from Portland, we saw pretty solid DC Fast Charge Rates. From as low as 6%, we saw up to 180 kW, occasionally 190 kW, and sustained rates well above 130 kW until 80%, then it dropped down to 50 kW.

I think this is much better than what the truck had at launch...

Unfortunately ,my brain is a little fuzzy: we were rear-ended in Oceanside by an uninsured driver, and the whole team that came with me has whiplash. We ended up driving down to Aptera to film with them, got in a crash, and are now on our way back, without filming.

(And driving very gingerly!)

My 12 volt badly needs replacing, but I was able to do this update with just a 2 amp trickle charger connected. The voltage did drop as low as 11.4-11.5 volts during the update. I had had the truck "on" for about 3 hours to hopefully charge the 12 volt a bit first, but it doesn't hold much now lol. Just a data point

My truck went ahead and updated last night even though I turned off automatic updates. It ended up charging to 100% as others have noted and cleared my departure times. Unfortunately, my home location is gone. I tried unplugging and replugging back in to see if I could get it to work, but for now I still don’t have a home location. I haven’t noticed any other issues yet.

I think you have to drive it around first, then when you park and start charging you will be able to save the location again.

Another annoyance with this update: the chirp/beep when turning the truck off (with the start/stop button on the dash) is gone. Frustrating that the software updates we do get break other things... :(

This is what others are reporting as well. I personally haven't tested it as I don't have any road trips coming up, but wonder if there was something updated. I would love to have someone compare the curves/OBD2 scanner data before and after.

I definitely have 500 amp charging now. I can't say 100% for sure it was this update, but I don't recall getting any other PCM updates before this one.

This update failed to install for 4 days. It finally completed yesterday (13 Feb 26), but my scheduled charging times and target location data in the app are no longer there. The Welcome Lightning also stopped initially. I'm not sure what other issues,, if any, have resulted. Anyone else's update have something similar?

I have scheduled an appointment with the dealer as those first four failed attempts were attributed to the 12-volt battery power not being at a high enough power threshold (80%). I'm not really sure what they should check for now since the update finally completed.
