As much as I appreciate the effort from Brian, this is going to be white noise and it always will be. Unfortunately we here make up the ford faithful and aren’t being treated as such.
I had a conversation with someone at the car wash and they were like why’d you go electric? My response was why haven’t you? He was a 5.9 Cummins guy, but I told him I used to be and yes you can put enough money into the Cummins and it can be faster (it takes a lot), but the only real thing that it has is range. I also said that people act like they’re getting ready to hook their houseboat up and tow it across country and need a truck to do it so that automatically removes the lightning from consideration. By no means am I trying to take away from those of us who have a need for a diesel or ice, but the reality it that the lightning does truck, car , ev, suv and whatever else just as good as anything else.
But, we are the ford faithful because we adopted a product that is unique and that product isn’t being made anymore. So while people may upgrade their daily driver, we most likely will not. So Brian if you wanted real requests or likes or whatever from my foxhole:
Free and updated blue cruise (like have someone work on this because it’s really somewhere ford is behind). Make it work please.
$1000+ charging credit (claim it on advertising)
The Tesla adapter should just be sent to owners old and new with no charge. I have one but shouldn’t have paid for it after such a wait.
All financing and leasing (if applicable through ford credit) should revert to 0% since the company has effectively made the lightning similar to the delorean. So the tsb and recall stuff will wane and age out like us as owners but the depreciation aspect of this is absolutely foul of the company.
Your CEO should really limit his public speaking engagements. When given the choice between listening to his nonsensical, disingenuous and even sanctimonious diction, and some sort of exploratory rectal surgery in the back of an FLA on a Kandahar highway the choice should be a lot less complicated.
The advertising that was (really was not) done for the lightning to my memory was like this is an electric pickup, and next commercial. I’ve seen greater detail on late night Nugenex total T commercials.
Brian, I appreciate that you’re here and thanks for your time.
