Hello, new poster here. Have a 2023 Lightning XLT and love it. No problems, until just recently.

First hot day, turned A/C on. Noticed a loud humming / spinning sound that I do not remember from last summer. Cold air blows out for a few minutes, then all air flow stops. Even noticed a couple of times that it automatically turned the heat on! Any idea what is going on? If I turn it off for a few mins, same thing. Blows cold air for few mins, then no air flow at all. Blower motor is running, but no idea where the air is going! And cabin air filter is new. Thanks

Bring it in for a proper diagnosis, but I'm suspecting the module which controls the blend doors is the culprit, this has not been seen on the forum until your experience.

Yes, it could be the humming could be the movement of the doors is jammed and the actuator is stalled, or the blower motor is stalled.
When motors or actuators stall they can make a humming sound.
But he didn't mention any clicking sound which I think the blend door problem would have.
Maybe the compressor is stalling, or there is a bad thermostat.

So many things that can (and do) go wrong with F-150 hvac systems, best take to dealer with fingers crossed.

Note: There was a TSB for the f-150 ecoboost (non-Lightning) hvac systems in 2024 that might be related:
