This is not an inhibit OTA so ignores any schedule. Just occurs when the truck is on and it’s able to download.
Mine is set for 5AM, took the truck out for a drive and got back home about 2hrs later.
Nice to see SW they created back on August 9 can finally get rolled out 5+ months later. I started my truck in the garage last night, the SW showed downloading after 20 minutes, hoping it finished install. I'll know more in a couple of hours when I get out.Checked for updates this morning and the APIM in the available software list has disappeared. So obviously the OTA took care of that....my new Sync revision is:
My ACM Update disappeared yesterday when I had Mobile Service perform the 25C69 Recall on the Integrated Park Module; it included SOBDMC, PCM, and ABS (maybe a couple more, I lost my screen capture). He also took care of the 26C10 Trailer Module update; same update is/was available on both my Lightning and my '23 5.0. I don't know if he just went ahead and cleared the ACM because it had an Outstanding Field Service Action. He said he had to enter a PIN to make those disappear from the list. Oddly, the paperwork shows he address 25C69 and 24U14 but makes no mention of 26C10......did a selftest and everything was still reporting green.....and had another go...same thing. Rinse and repeat. Still the same.
So I've got the ACM update that never goes away along with an OBCC update that won't proceed because there's a communications error of some sort.....
He had to enter a pin....? I wonder what that was about? I still have that ACM update in my list. I just ignore it now. But on the other hand my truck does not have an outstanding recall for the ACM module anyway (24U14). I guess I'll find out Monday. Mobile Service is coming back out to address 26C10 on my 23 5.0. It does not show 24U14 ACM Update like my Lightning did.
What do you mean “ext. climate run” what’s the purpose of that? Do you mean you’re just leaving the truck on hoping that an update might happen?
Yeah that was the idea. But I had to actually go out there and tell it to "Update Now" to get things started. I thought it might connect to the mothership while it was in climate mode...but I guess not.
I think the whole idea with Update Schedule is the truck has to be off for certain updates. That’s why the default is 1:00 am.
Yea, remote start won't work. Ignition has to be on for the vehicle to accept the OTA trigger.
It was that weird one that didn’t really change anything that was noticeable. Like it was all background stuff.
Oh copy. Yeah I got the same one. I’m assuming you’re talking about the “hard drive” enhancement for xm radio or whatever. I just completed a cross country trip and it sure would have been nice for the SC to be in the native navigation. So stupid that it’s taking this long for that update.
