On April 15, 2026, my dealer graciously updated the truck's BCM module when it was in for the 10,000 mile service, Park Module recall, and Trailer module recallI’m still wondering if there’s ever going to be one to update the BCM to make walk away lock fully functional.
And the fix is right after HIS is discontinued...For those who use HIS and are in the date window (I'm not - 10/23) I hope they thoroughly tested it....and gee, it only took 3 years to come up with a fix?
So "Soon?"
Yes, perfect timing, eh?And the fix is right after HIS is discontinued...
The bottom of your sticker has the scheduled blend date, assuming the truck build was on-time it will give you a more accurate point of view.I think I'm in the window. After all of the trouble I've had trying to get the HIS working, now after a bit more than 3 years of ownership they think it's fixed. Cool.
So where can I apply for a credit for those 3 years of an expensive inoperable backup solution? It seems like this is an admission that the system hasn't worked properly since day 1 for those of us in the window.
It's good that they're trying but disappointing it has taken so long and I'm sceptical this will make it work perfectly 100% of the time. Time will tell.

You are all missing the fact that this only covers 23 vehicles, not all of you in that build window
Certain 2022-2023 Model Year F150 Lightning Equipped with Intelligent Backup Power Feature
Total of only 23 trucks involved in this program.
I had the same situation, decoded numbers = Oct 13, 2023, but the VIN date came up Oct 27th.The bottom of your sticker has the scheduled blend date, assuming the truck build was on-time it will give you a more accurate point of view.
this is an example of my build, 1yyyymmddnnnn June 9th 2022, but my truck was actually run down the line a week later due to production delays.

Maybe Brian @Ford Motor Company could publish the list of VINs, or at least the last 5 digits. You are all missing the fact that this only covers 23 vehicles, not all of you in that build window
I think Ford is sending out a customer letter according to the first post attachment, the "Ford Owner Letter."Maybe Brian @Ford Motor Company could publish the list of VINs, or at least the last 5 digits.
