Interesting, dare I dream the update to actually be available now :fingerscrossed:

@Mike G would you mind checking the PTS website to see if it lists as available for 22-23 models when you have a moment? Please and thanks again

Cancel that, I checked the Ford recall website and it actually lists the recall fix as being available now against the vin for this recall. Finallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I got this update yesterday along with the trailer update. The tech said that it was just released so he can do them both, and this was home service.
I notice it sets the brake more reliably on my drive way now.

I got it as well yesterday (covered in a related thread). This NHTSA recall update takes a while, even at the dealership with their fast VCM dongles for FDRS work. It does major software stuff to among other things, the SOMDB.

I was in for the Trailer Lights NHTSA recall update which takes like, 10 minutes... and the Parking Pawl update popped as available for my 2023. This one took the tech about an hour or so, even though he was all hooked up for the trailer lights recall update already.

Looks like I have two pending recalls. Park module and Trailer module. I still have to find an area dealer between Salina and Wichita that has a service shop that knows lightnings and electric vehicles. I have already ruled out two who doesn't even have someone in the shop that can spell "lightning"!!! Probably finding one with a mobile service tech will be impossible. Guess I could call around and see if one of them has a mobile service tech which I would think that they have some level of expertise in the shop.

Thanks. They have been my first choice on the list. That's where I got my mud flaps. When I first bot it on 9-30-25, last day of the tax credits, I drove it home from Independence, MO and stopped by their shop out behind about midnight that night, I unplugged an Amazon truck from their free charger and charged for a half hour at 10% charge to give me a few more % before the last 30 miles to home. They sell a lot of ford trucks there and more than the other dealers around except for maybe Wichita.

What do you notice, something happening when placed into Park, or something different when pulling / putting the emergency brake on?

In my driveway it sets now, before it would set every once in awhile. My driveway has a normal slope.

I've got both of those recalls sitting out there on my new to me '23 Lariat ER. I am curious how the OTA updates work. Just scanning a lot of threads here, it seems that it's often like winning the lottery? You never know when or if the recalls or other software updates will occur. I wish there was a way of manually pushing software updates when connected to wifi at the house. The dealership that does EV stuff well is about 25 miles away from me and it can be a hassle to work out a time with them.

Welcome to the forum with your first post, as for OTA's ..... distribution is controlled by the FoMoCo Magiculator, take a number and stand in line, some recalls that are popular now don't have OTA's yet.

Definitely try Long McArthur. Tim, aka @FordVideoGuy, is the Internet Sales Manager and has owned a Lightning and a Mach-E over the years. I think they have sold a decent number of Lightnings and Mach-E’s despite being in ICE truck country.

OK. I did get a call a couple days ago from the Kansas City dealer about scheduling mobile service but I told them I was leaving for Colorado for a couple weeks and to call me back. Maybe I'll try Tim first especially since it would likely be their mobile guy coming out unless it is someone from Wichita.

Had mine done last week, and I can't really tell any difference.

I was hoping it would stop the "rocking" when you put it in park.

Curious if y'all are experiencing the same?
