As suspected, my delivery date just changed from 07/04-07/10 to 07/10-07/16.

The Truck is at the Railyard and has been there for the last 6 days. I’m hoping this will be the last delivery date change, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it changes again.
What rail yard are you in?

I might have the same issue in PA (Twin Oaks) when mine arrives. I am still stuck in New Boston Michigan at the moment.

My truck didn't get delivered on Thursday like I was hoping, but someone did hop in it and deny my Ford Pass again. I have been holding at 7/21 delivery, so hopefully someone getting in my truck means they loaded in a railcar this time.

I am still screwed when it gets here unless Ford comes through and does what they are supposed to. The Mesquite, TX Railyard went out and checked and determined that my vehicle is not there, but there is a dark side to this. He said they still show a hold on the vehicle, so even if it arrives to the railyard, they can't ship it out to the dealer until Ford sends an email releasing the hold that is currently on it. So who knows how long that will take. Ford will probably screw this up and forget to to send the email like the rest of my story.

It’s a common theme once it arrives at its destination due to manpower shortages. Oh well, it’s almost there, dealer is like 20 min away.

So…I’ve now found that my truck will likely be shipped from the rail yard to dealer via United Road and one can theoretically get some tracking details via their website: https://www.unitedroad.com/delivery-receipt.
When I put in my email, it shows a load number and the intended dealership…but when I register, it says “successful”, but I haven’t gotten anything further. Anyone have any experience with UnitedRoad? Does a load number equate to an actual shipment in progress or completed, or can that just be a place holder awaiting the truck from the rail company?

For all you guys waiting for your trucks, I know its hard but be patient. Its definitely worth the wait. I picked mine up on Wed. My dealer told me my truck and his demo were at the rail yard for a week waiting for a truck to ship them to the dealer.

My dealer was great, they called me Tuesday night at 7 and left a voicemail telling me it had just come off the truck and they would be there till 9 if I wanted to go pick it up. I didn't see the voicemail at all and got the email from Ford Wednesday morning saying it had been delivered to the dealer. I called the dealer and my salesman was off that day but they called him back in so I could pick up the truck. I was in and out in an hour.

Now about the truck, whoever said that maintenance on this thing will be less overall is crazy. Whatever is saved by not having and ICE will be blown away by the more frequent tire rotations and purchases. I'm actually quite surprised at how much the front tires break traction when accelerating. I wish more power was sent to the rear tires. Needless to say, I haven't stopped smiling since I picked the truck up. Hopefully at some point I will not have the urge to get to the speed limit so quickly. Currently my spirited driving is getting me about 1.6 miles/kwh. Would also love to be able to put the truck into 2wd mode with traction control off. You know, for science and stuff.

My one surprise with the truck is dealing with charging. I have read this forum pretty much every day since my order date in January. You would think with all that reading and the discussion on here related to charging, I would have been prepared to charge the truck. Well, I wasn't. My plan was to use the mobile charger plugged into a 40 amp welding outlet in my garage. It is wired with 6 gauge wire. All that I confirmed weeks ago. However, for some reason it never occurred to me to verify the outlet was a 14-50. Its actually a 6-50 outlet so no neutral wire. I went back and forth on whether to replace the outlet with a 14-50 and just not have a neutral wire hooked to it, or make and adapter cable. I settled on this. Should be here today.

Its cheaper than buying the ends and Lowes and making it myself, and still keeps my original wiring intact and up to code. I should only need to use it for a few weeks while I wait for the pro charger to be shipped and installed.

Sorry for the long post. I just wanted to share these thoughts with y'all, hopefully it helps someone else that only lurks and reads posts like me.

The last painful bit of the wait.

Definitely have to roll into throttle. Still working on my 0-60 with no lost power?. Will be awesome if someday we can tune power distribution.

Your tires should not need to replaced as often as you think, that is unless you are hot rodding it every time to drive it. We had our couple weeks of fun in our Mach E and then we settled down to drive more conservatively like we normally do. We are now at 35,000 miles and by looking at the tread, I should have at least another 7,500-10,000 miles left on them. For me getting 40-45k on a set of tires is okay considering the weight of the vehicle.

You will begin to receive emails for any vehicle delivered to your dealer, when that happens, click the link to see the delivery manifest, if your VIN is on it, your truck has landed.

I live on a farm, my drive way is over a 1/4 mile long and its concrete. My other vehicles are 2 mustangs and a 65 Shelby coupe kit car. Hot rodding is kinda what we do around here. I tell the wife we have to get some heat in the tires before we get on the road. :ROFLMAO: Much safer that way.

Well here is the status on my rollercoaster truck from the DFW Ford Regional Director. He still working on the hold part, but at least I have some clarity.

"Just heard back from my Logistics team. Your Lightning is in Michigan and you are 100% correct, it was pulled back as it was not supposed to be shipped as we hadn’t completed the updates. It is scheduled to ship this weekend - I will confirm that is did on Monday. I asked my Dallas team to reach out to Rockwell Ford to see if a loaner is available….sharing a car with your teenager is not acceptable! ?"
