BTW a little story about how awesome my dealership is. In the Uber on the way over there this morning that the dealer prep stuff (you know the stuff) ran the price over 75k. I went in there and my sales guy was already out getting the truck ready to go. One of the other guys found him for me and I relayed my thoughts to him. He went and ambushed the finance guy in his way in for me (keep in mind I walked in before actual opening time of 8 am) and he relayed my concerns. Finance guy without hesitation rewrote the agreement that separated the purchase price ($74,094) from the dealer stuff, preserving my $7,500 tax credit eligibility - and major justification for the truck to begin with.

THEN finance guy tells me he renegotiated my rate with Ford way down, because my D/I had a huge shift in my favor over the course of the last few days. I sold a house (previous residence) removing that mortgage and using the proceeds to knock down a large credit card balance.

Holmes Tuttle Ford in Tucson:

Ruben - Sales and white knuckle passenger
Gilbert - Finance guy who gives a fuck

I just wanted to thank these guys individually and by name for going just light years beyond expectations. They topped off what has already been a really good year after 4 really shitty ones.

As your deal closed prior to 1/1/2023, this is a moot concern, unless you have a state of AZ credit this 80K value affects, but with regard to the Federal credit, your could of rolled all costs into the invoice.

It is my understanding that if you took delivery before 12/31 the MSRP of the truck should not matter for the tax credit.

Arrived East Brookfield Sept 20. Hold was put on it by ford. Delay is not a shipping issue.

We ended up trading in our 8/8 Lariat SR and ordering a '23 Lariat ER. The SR was inconvenient in this area as chargers are far and few. My better half nearly got stranded after a bank of chargers was out of commission.

Hoping for a quick resolution for you, cuz I imagine I’m right behind you in the queue. My imagination is that there’s one poor ford employee with a suitcase full of chips going from rail yard to rail yard installing chips. Who knows where he is, or how long it takes…. This is my hope.

My fear is that there’s absolutely nothing being done about it.

That's my hunch too. Wouldn't mind so much except my 2014 Highlander's transmission failed on Labor Day and I had to have it towed from NH back to Mass. Finally got it back a month later and it failed again, this time in Maine. So my wife and I have been sharing her car (a Model 3) for almost 2 months. Sigh.
