I wonder if they have hardware problems they haven't been able to adequately overcome with software, and the bottom line might be an expensive recall. Just pure speculation on my part.
Perhaps, ... 5 or 6 months to modify and rewrite existing software, how can that be ??

However, they are still cranking out Lightnings apparently with the same software....so they must still have hope the software can be corrected?

This is ridiculous. My Lightning can’t charge at more than 2.6 kWh on any charger (going on since June) and the Battery team at Ford says it’s a known issue and wait for the update. The dealership says they won’t try anything else until the updates are released. I’m at my wits end since I can’t take it on long trips

Just got my truck back from the dealer temporarily.
I took it in because I had a 1 pedal drive fault.
Long story but waiting for field engineer after they “reprogrammed all the modules.”
They said I could take it for the weekend.
Drive away from the dealer and it’s acting super weird, cruise setting isn’t accurate/ won’t hold speed where I set it.
Got a message saying “cruise control unavailable, brakes need cooling”
Seems low on power too but meter says 100%
Something’s not right and it’s worse than when I took it in

Also I’ve had it on the charger ( FCSP 48 amps) for an hour and it’s charging super slow.

I would demand a buyback.

Missed that. Was busy that day. Yes, it's off apparently. Woo-hoo!
