Well just started today. Had 1st one replaced under recall, then that one replaced under warranty. Now this one should be covered under the 2 year parts warranty. Pretty crazy it keeps happening.

Because you haven't updated your profile and avatar from your old/other truck. It's paying you back for neglect. :bandit:

Seriously though, after you get it replaced, find the lowest part that's semi hidden and drill a small hole for moisture to run out instead of shorting out.

Yeah that’s one of them. It says vehicles, plural. Both should be on there. Not sure why it matters, my sig is up to date.

Check the NHTSA website to see if you have an open recall for the lightbar. Ford is recalling them again because they install instructions weren't always followed and the replacements could develop cracks again. They will be replaced. If you have paid to replace the lightbar after the first recall campaign was preformed, you may be eligible for a refund.

Mine was replaced under recall. My original lightbar showed no signs of water intrusion. My replacement is totally burned out and is full of moisture. Parts were supposed to be available Q1 of 2026 to do the work. I stopped into my dealer a few days ago to see what was happening with it, and they said they should have the parts in May.

Yep, it's still open. Remedy was supposed to be Q1 2026.

So i might have to call NHTSA per their yellow box warning

" If the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner, please contact the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at: 1-888-327-4236 or TTY: 1-888-275-9171 or file an online complaint with NHTSA. "

Yes. They are late. My dealer says that parts will be available next month.

We're all waiting on the recall...and parts.....

If you'd like to take a look to see if your last one was replaced properly (the "inspection" part of the recall) you can do that by removing the tailgate panel (work surface) and have a look inside for little white plastic grommets poking through from the outside that the original screws would screw into. If they're there then the tech didn't follow instructions (like a lot of them didn't) and replace the grommets with push in plastic pins to hold the lightbar in, instead of screws. Torquing the screws in when installing the lightbar is what eventually causes the cracks due to thermal cycling of the plastic. Then you get the micro cracks and moisture buildup.

I knew it had to be something like this with the repeated failure after failure people some people experience. It’s a really long plastic bar so I imagine just even the slightest over torque will cause cracking.
