Funny enough, my wife loves the acceleration because she's gotten used to EV acceleration in her Q6. It's my 4 y.o. daughter that will chastise me for speeding or accelerating hard; warns me that the police will catch me one day, LOL.

Acceleration Anxiety for me was when a friend who drives a MS Plaid launched it in an industrial area, but didn't let off the accelerator at 60, 70 or even 80... like, hey man, this road is only straight for so long and you do NOT want to try to turn this thing are this speed.

All good tho, he hit the brakes and slowed quickly to normal. He turned and asked "You paid how much for this?". Less than 40, I told him. "I think I might need a new work truck!"

I use that feature sparingly for my non supporting , non believer friends and acquaintances. I have converted (well at least moved) all of them more to the center on electric vehicles.

After that first launch the questions flow like a flooded river.

Snapshot with Progressive "supposedly" saved me about $100/6 months. Not life changing but not spare change either. Did ding me for hard braking one time when I was trying to see what the truck would do if I covered the eye tracker and didn't always detect I was the passenger correctly.
$100/6 mo.
Disney charges $119/day.

If you do 1 launch a month, that’s $16/launch. Most amusement parks charge about $10/ride. Just make sure you do 2 launches a month to get your moneys worth.

I got most of my high-speed launches out within the first week, but I find myself driving like an old lady now. The pursuit of maximum efficiency kills the urge to step on it!

Luckily I only had to have it enabled for a few months to get the discount and you can always say "nope I was a passenger" lol. It's nice having the power but the novelty wore off quickly. Only use it to pass grandma or if someone asks me why I bought an electric vehicle. Certainly wasn't to save the environment since I have a boat that gets 2 mi/gal :cwl:

I do like to initiate my ICE friends on their first ride! But I really like it for driving Hwy2, 2 lanes over Stevens Pass when there is always a slow poke. Now I can wait for the dashed line and kick it right past them! But my wife always grabs the console and door and Oh #$&%!!! No seriously, I do need to go from 55 to 90 to get around them SAFELY.

And sometimes you have to pass 3 grandmas on a Sunday drive...

I have to remember to disable Bluetooth on my phone when doing a full throttle launch. Otherwise my phone will notify State Farm that I had an acceleration gig though their Drive "Safe and Save" discount beacon.

This is the stuff that worries me. When I first got this truck, I went through and turned off all of the “driving data” options I could. Then I realized that if I do that it kills a lot of the functionality of the truck and the Ford Pass app also. Sigh… So I told my agent that I DO NOT want to be in the program where they record my driving, but is Ford ratting me out to them anyhow? I am with Progressive right now.
