Yep, was apparently gonna be called Ford Aeros. But names like explorer and Thunderbird were also considered.

Essentially an Ioniq 9. Aerodynamics is going to force all vehicles to appear fairly similar.

I think battery density and miles / kWH the 3 row vehicles are just still a few years off.

Aside from airport shuttles / taxis etc, most people are considering a 3 row for a roadtripper / family hauler. Storage room, SIZE, and range really matter in that use case.

ICE is just going to be better at current. Hyundai is close with the 800V architecture but ultimately, it's not nearly the room of full 3 sizers.

CE1 sounds quite promising. I think they have the right approach, find innovative ways to make affordable, smaller EVs that are desirable and fun. That's what Ford does best, affordable aspirational vehicles.

I just hope their future designs are a little sexier than this. Alan Clark has said the 30k EV truck will have what he calls instant aesthetic appeal. What that looks like will be hard to say.

But to me, what I'd personally love to see is almost like a ute styled truck. Like if Ford had a 4 door lifestyle maverick sized truck that almost took like styling hints from a mustang and looked like a modern ranchero just with 4 doors, I'd be in love.

I would have liked it if they slapped the Lightning internals to an Expedition with NACS and on 800V architechture. Would have scooped that up so quick! This would be a huge turnoff, even if it was shown off as a concept.
