I had to disable all connectivity to get DCFC to work.
Sorry if this has been covered, I did some searches and couldn't find a similar issue.
Here's the story:
I stopped at an EVGO station and plugged in. I tried to start with Ford Pass but it said "the charger is no longer available". Tried with the EVGO app and got credit card errors. Tried with the card reader and got credit card errors.
I thought the charger was borked so I drove to an EA charger. Exact same issues, so I figured it was the truck.
At EA I first tried Plug and Charge, but got a charge fault. I tried a couple times. I could hear the lock actuate, but after a minute or so it would kick to a fault.
I turned off Plug and Charge, and it still faulted.
I tried to start with Ford Pass but it said "the charger is no longer available".
I tried the card reader, but got card errors.
I finally thought maybe something was up with the Ford network, so I turned off all connectivity in the truck. I used the card reader at the EA station and it worked!
Whew!
Keep this in your back pocket if you run in to similar behavior.
Ford owes me $13 since I couldn't use my free kWh!
