So... staying awake late was soooooo worth it. I think
GWM - about an hour total with a 32 minute wait after the restart prompt (aways worked in the past)
APIM - about 45 minutes total with a 15 minute wait after the restart prompt

Mongoose plus flew through it without a hitch.
Ran a scan after all clear
I did have to do a hard reset on the Sync system to get the hand free stuff to show up. Still haven't gone for a drive to test. Way too late and the family wouldn't appreciate me opening the garage and driving out and back in.

I assume this brings me up to 2.5.3.
Normally I am not excited to head to work but tomorrow morning is like Christmas morning

Finished. Drove for almost an hour. Lots of bluecruise highways here. Works great, definitely worth it.
Side note: still have IPMA, PSCM and GSM updates. Don’t really know if I should do any of those considering I know the GSM is a bug and the others I updates like 2 days ago. I think the IPMA and PCSM are bugs as well. Will wait for others to chime in and confirm.

Looks like bluecruise is finally here for Job 1’s.

@DeltaDeuce and @jmm3807 how long after your APIM did it take to get the activation email? When I go to connected services on Ford online it says activation pending. Hopefully this just takes some time to run through the system.

So I seem to be stuck. I did the GWM and Apim just fine. I did the ipma and power steering module but they will not go away, there are no errors or dtc's. I show hands free under the sync about but do not show it under driver features even after a hard boot. I looked at connected services and show blue cruise activation pending so I guess I will wait. Any suggestions?

So I had to click activate on mine then it flipped over to activation pending. However mine works currently and still says activation pending.

Same here. Already activated and appears used.

Just so everyone knows myself and @JEB being the first to get the Mongoose we thought the same thing but, @JEB called them and they said it was normal with the activation (already activated). He can explain in more detail so no worries.

There are many who are experiencing the ABS, IPMA, GSM and PSCM still showing after successful updates. My suggestion is to reboot the GWM from FORScan and try that update again and see what happens.

Has anyone tried to power through this last batch of updates with a Nano? Or did everyone give up when the CCM failures started happening?

It was almost instant.

I never did get one and it’s still pending activation on Ford online. But it worked this morning just fine. Another thing I noticed with these last updates is my camera in motion for the bed and hitch finally work. Also the side card bed view is there.
That hasn’t worked before this morning. I haven’t done any forscan changes because I wanted to get updated through bluecruise first so it was cool to have the camera work.
unfortunately this APIM update doesn’t get rid of the black border for apple Care play. Haven’t really noticed anything else yet.

I wanted to add a note for others on this subject. A lesson learned from Sync 3 is that the partition table of the USB drive also matters. With Sync 3 the USB drive must have an MBR partition table not GPT. I assume Sync 4 operates the same way. It's possible someone could buy a recommended drive and still have updates fail if this is overlooked.

For future reference, having a USB formatted with an MBR partition table does not seem to affect the likelihood of the initial APIM update kicking off immediately or not. The two USB's I've used are both MBR and neither caused an update to start. Cant say if using GPT would cause it though. That said, while testing this, and after a couple of weeks of keeping my second USB drive in and then moving back to the first USB, the truck has decided it will go ahead and take the update this morning.
