To confirm, because I know if I have questions, others do too. Hoping someone here can confirm in plain language like not so smart.

1) If you have a '23 with IPC mods from previous tweaks you
a) complete the upgrade with the '24 IPC and then you must
b) apply an as-built for your chosen vehicle (in my case, a Lariat ER with max tow etc.)
c) re-do the mods as desired, but using the '24 IPC sheet.

Is that correct? Have I missed a step? Do I need b) or can I go right to c)?

2) Best to do the IPC updates before applying any of the new centre screen changes to charging preferences?

3) 12V, 100A Server supply a good way to ensure the truck stays happy. Disconnect the 12V battery, and use jump start terminals to connect the Server Supply?

---

Want to give this a go, no stranger to FORSCAN, but also don't want to brick ;)
A-Do the upgrade first
B-Do a write all just to the IPC section (720) from a 24 asbuilt to yours
C-Make Previous changes (matrix lightning, seatbelt chimes, etc) to that section (720 section) because after doing the write all, you will be back at stock values in the IPC.

I connected the power supply to the jump points and left the battery connected. I also had to take off my windshield wipers because they were trying to wipe the whole time. The upgrade itself will take around 5 hours. Then however long it takes you afterwards to change all of your previous forscan mods in that section back.

I use a HP 100W server supply and it works great. Do not disconnect the battery. The power supply will be fine in parallel. Did you modify it to output 13-14 volts? If not, I don’t think it will supply amps until your battery drops to its voltage.

I connected mine to the positive terminal of the battery and the downstream side of the BMS. Do not connect to the negative terminal.

I didn't experience any of the windshield wiper stuff, did you have rain sensing on?

I always turn mine off. Had that happen the first time I updated in FDRS.

Yes I did. It happened during a FDRS Update I did a while back also. You would think being that it shuts everything else down that it wouldn't do that. Next time I do an update I'll try turning the rain sensing off and see if it does that.

I use ecoflow 800w charger, and its quite easy and happy to keep 12.5V
You need to apply 24 IPC asbuilt first before doing any mods, or you will be greeting with DTC, dont forget to reset after applying the 24 AsBuilt and then apply your mods

Love that FCSP power. It should be noted that the configuration may vary from the restored 2024 IPC beyond just forscan mods. I restored the 24 ipc config, then restored my back up but changed the values for 720-13-01/02 and 720-14-01 to match what the 24 had. Otherwise you end up with an ipc config invalid dtc.

You use a 2024 AsBuilt on the IPC before applying the software update?

So it's 2024 AsBuilt >> IPC upgrade >> Restore 2024 AsBuilt >> your own tweaks?

Flash the IPC first, then restore the 2024 as built, then do mod
Don't restore your 23 IPC asbuilt backup as 23 and 24 are different

Thanks, That's what I *thought* the order was - but the previously quoted post made me question my sanity ;) \

Did this today. Took just short of 6 hrs with a vLinker FS. No errors after update, which I was expecting a bunch. Loaded the AB and mod changes (glare free) everything works as it should. I like the animations and new icon locations better, but still room for improvement for my OCD in icon locations.

I just finished this today as well (little less than 5.5 hours). Only problem I experienced was the downloaded "files", shared here when they were originally posted...then was out of town for a few weeks.

The 2024_IPC.ab file I had saved was originally 300k'ish in size and was giving FORScan errors when trying to load all (after the IPC upgrade). Went back today to re-download, and it was around 120k in size and worked perfect.

@flyin525, did your symbols for the glare-free, widen/spreadout since this IPC upgrade? I thought maybe mine wasnt working but I noticed the left symbol (which used to be right next to the "green A") is now in the far left corner. Unfortunately, I didnt yet drive fast enough to see them in action.

EDIT: also did the PPO on, while truck-off change in APIM

Looks pretty similar in size for both headlight related icons though there is a space between them now where there wasn’t one before

is there any way to sideload for the powertrain modules? I would love to get my PPO with truck off and fully enable the advanced charging settings. I dont see a option to update them in forscan beta, and for some reason I never got 10.3 in EA.
