Please refresh my mind as to which thread you had mention this problem earlier in the year, I'd like this tangent posted there!Fun people FUN. I prevailed with the IRS on a $7500 EV credit I claimed - and the dealer claimed it too!
Sharing here 1st for forum friends - & with you specifically as an IRS retiree. If you host a thread on $7500 tax credits - I'll contribute. Please refresh my mind as to which thread you had mention this problem earlier in the year, I'd like this tangent posted there!
You're multiple communications formats has triggered one or more open inquiry's, final review & determination is pending staffing and priorities. Considering the recent & widely swung axes at the agency, it might be a long wait on the closing of your inquiry.IRS did send a template postal letter '60 days to resolve' - about 30 days ago.
I contacted by email a senate office to get advice - and the next thing I knew they'd contacted the IRS! The IRS sent me $1k+ 15 years ago when they did a non-contact review - 1st contact was getting an IRS E-deposit.You're multiple communications formats has triggered one or more open inquiry's, final review & determination is pending staffing and priorities. If you received it's benefit against your net balance of tax, I'd just lay back and wait to see what comes of this. I'd like to see the dealerships who are shirking their duty to be hit hard with the hammer of Thor.
Thank you - got TAS bookmarked now. Love that DOGE is showing far too many agencies have vast waste-fraud-abuse - we can save as taxpayers.I was going to mention the "Taxpayer Advocate Service" {TAS} they are charged with resolving troublesome cases that are caused by poorly designed processes, the goal is to fix systemic problems in concert with bad experiences by individual taxpayers.
TAS, often receives that majority of "Congressional inquiry requests" they receive accelerated attention but only when urgent hardship is at hand, again staffing levels in TAS as well as the rest of the IRS are impeding case resolution.
