I've been seeing the chatter in this thread and wanted to jump in with an update after speaking with internal teams to understand roll out.

The team has been working on this, and I can confirm a software update is currently rolling out that allows 2024 F-150 Lightning owners to route to compatible Tesla Superchargers using the in-vehicle Connected Navigation. For those of you with an adapter, this should make trip planning a whole lot easier.

Now, the key phrase here is "rolling out." As part of our standard process, we are rolling this software update out in batches, which means you and your friend with a 2024 F-150 Lightning could get this update at different times.

We are starting this rollout first to 2024 F-150 Lightning. Every vehicle line and model year is unique and requires a different software package. We will have more to share once a software update becomes available for other model years.
So it's coming Soon™?

Have not tried the new Ford Nav. In the past it would find the most obscure route to my home from work, often longer than usual, and did not do a good job with traffic.
On the plus side, it does tell me my elevation.

I will bet that 2022s get the ability to precondition to any fast charger (we can't yet) in time for spring...

I still wish Ford would bring back the route planning and pushing from your phone. I could plan from my bed the night before and push the route to the truck when it was ready. That plus this update would be killer.

Also, Brian if your’re reading this, zone lighting back on the Ford app would be sweeeet.

This! Being able to route plan from your phone would be awesome. It would also be great if you can set the set the arrival charge %. Some places do not have chargers readily available and I would like to arrive at my destination with a set amount of battery percentage.

That's fine if your trip only involves a single charging stop. That doesn't provide for all the charging along a route.
Why not? Can you not look at your intended route and look forward nnn miles and find a charger? Of course you can. Whether nnn is 75 miles or 275 miles or anywhere in between makes no difference.

As for ABRP, I have it n my phone and have played with it a bit, but never used it for a trip.

Yes but having to do that over and over and over is a real pain. That's why route planning software exists.

I was trying to look up an address for a trip to Tennessee using the Ford Nav. It wouldn’t locate anything. I typed in multiple addresses and it didn’t seem to want to work beyond my area (central Florida). Is there a setting I am missing? Shouldn’t I just be able to type in an address and have it pull up regardless of where in the county it is?

I thought it was a fat-finger smartphone autocorrect or bad voice to text. I get weird stuff like that all the time 🤣
Exactly what I had thought, too! I was like, "Wow, his keyboard mangled the F out of that!" :cwl:

Then I google it and saw the same thing TaxmanHog found. I had to look to verify he wasn't based in Louisiana. lol

Have you paid for the connected navigation or are you still in the free trial?

The lagging screen makes me hate to use it. Android Auto/Apple Carplay is the way to go.
