Folks in the Mach-E forum are starting to get a "Try FordPass 5.0" button. This is for a Public Beta and fine to discuss. Private Betas are still going on and are not to be discussed. Says so in the Ford e-mail I got.

I'm receiving communication from internals about this situation............

With that I'm leaving it at each members discretion to share ONLY what is in the PUBLIC version-5 and to not discuss any additions not available in the public version.

BTW this offer is limited to a select group of EAP & NON EAP folks.

I don't have the button in my Android version to upgrade or view

Correct. EA folks have a different version through Apple TestFlight/Google Beta.

Neat - I just opened my app and had the button to try Fordpass 5 public beta. Clicked the button, restarted the app, and here it is! Will have to spend some time using it, but initial reaction is that it seems to be much more responsive than the previous version.

I wonder how many times I can refresh my app trying to get that button to upgrade before Ford sends me a cease and desist.

Yeah, that Fan button replaced the Remote Start button - which really did nothing more that turn on the climate anyway. Now you can control temperature, seat heater, and heated steering wheel.

Neat - I just opened my app and had the button to try Fordpass 5 public beta. Clicked the button, restarted the app, and here it is! Will have to spend some time using it, but initial reaction is that it seems to be much more responsive than the previous version.

Judging by that screenshot, it looks like you still can't tell whether the truck is locked or unlocked? This has been driving me crazy since the first time I opened the app. They have to fix that!!

If you have been testing FP 5.0 the last few weeks/months then you will be seeing the private version I believe. You shouldn't post screenshots. Not every one in EAP was given the private beta.

If you were in this group, you should have also received an email from Ford today that stated:
1. They were releasing a public beta;
2. You could comment on the public beta.
3. You could acknowledge you have been a tester,
4. You should not share details of specifics features that are in the private beta.

You can extend the time just like FP4 remote start - 30 minutes total.
Currently just turns heated seats on or off. Don't know if that's just the driver or all of them and what setting - didn't test. No cooled seats in this version.
