Not many folks seem to interested to learn from the Tesla folks and their habits of charging their Tesla vehicles. It's possible, but the pull of the familiar is tough to overcome. My boss is pretty conservative and recently got a Mach-e mainly because he was "forced" to by our companies policy on manager lease vehicles where you could get an additional lease vehicle but it had to be a Lightning or a Mach-e.
So he went with a Mach-e, even though he at least jokingly said he will have to figure out where to charge it every day on his way to work like it couldn't make the 30-ish mile drive each day.
Well I asked him yesterday how it was going as he has had it for a little over a month now, and he had nothing but positive things to say. His entire family fights over who gets to drive it, and he said he is constantly surprised at how efficient it is. They only seem to really need to charge it maybe once a week, and that's with the kids and his wife taking it every chance they get.
Anyway, it's both frustrating and a bit hopeful that even someone that was in the camp where he probably would have never bought an EV if it wasn't his only option in this case if they wanted another company lease seems to really love it now that they have had it a while.
The frustrating part though is this isn't something everyone will get a chance to do and there will continue to be many who will just not even try it. Also if our government doesn't make it easier for apartments/condos to have some kind of on-site charging, there will be huge groups of potential customers who understandably don't want the hassle if they can't charge at home.
