Lightning to Mach-e Charging

I'm trying to use the Portable Ford Charger to charge a Mach-e from my Lightning - XLT. The adapter states to limit Amperage to 24 amps and I thought this was a setting on the Lightning but I don't see anything. I checked on the Mach-e for input limit and again nothing there and the Ford charger itself doesn't appear to have any kind of way to adjust the amps.

So my question is this, am I missing a setting on either the Lightning, Mach-e or charger to adjust this or as a last resort is there a portable charger you can recommend that is either limited to 24 amps or can be adjusted to 24 amps.

The Ford Mobile charger should stay just under the threshold that trips the pro power breaker if I'm not mistaken.

There is no setting to control/limit rate.

I think @RickLightning has mentioned this before. IIRC the mobile charger that comes with the Lightning is a 30A charger that allows it to use the 30A bed outlet. The charger that came with the Mach-E is 32A and would trip the ProPower.

And agreeing with @Firn - the charger is the same, but there is something in each plug that tells the charger either 120V (so 12A max) or 240V (30 or 32A max). Again, going off memory here.

Ya, I have that and it trips the lightning saying max capacity of the bed outlets was exceeded.

I didn't realize the portable chargers were different. I'm sure the ones I have are for the Mach-e, is there a specific part number for the Lightning charger?

I believe it's the plug-in dongle that's different, see post 4. Those are likely different part numbers, not the charger.

This is the 30A dongle for the Lightning. For the price though I would just put the money toward a quality, adjustable one.

And a short video (<4 min) that shows close-up of the two connectors/adapters and manufacturer part numbers.
Additionally he shows (as shown in Rick's post above) that the Lightning connector has a smaller diameter cable since it is spec'd at 30 amps. The Mach-E connector has a thicker cable since it is spec'd for 40A (but delivers 32).

Another option is to buy a mobile charger with the amp controls on it. The J+ Booster 2 for example. Usually a discount advert for it on this forum.

Another few questions.

What charge rate (kW's) does the Mach-e EVSE supply to the vehicle? 7.6 kWs, 7.68kWs or 9.6 kWs?

30 amps should be 30x240=7,600 watts aka 7.6 kW's
32 amps should be 32x240= 7,680 watts 's aka 7.68 kW's
40 amps should be 40x24=9,600 watts aka 9.6 kW's

Regardless a 30 amp continuous load on a 30 amp house circuit is not legal.
Is the Lightning designed and legal to provide 30 amp continuous?

At my house I use a tesla mobile charger as backup in case my Wall Connector doesn't work. It plugs into my 30 amp 4-wire dryer 14-30R outlet. Since a 30 amp house circuit is legally limited to 24 amps continuous Tesla has a special dongle that limits the current to 24 amps when using a 30 amp dryer outlet. The charge rate with that setup is 5.76 kWs
